Two 11-1 teams battling for the regional championship this is how it was meant to be. Corbin's only blemish is to 2A power Mayfield. Bell County's only blemish is to Corbin. Don't think that Bell County has forgotten that either.

 

Corbin County comes into this game with success on both sides of the ball. Their defense has allowed a combined 44 points in the last 6 games. In that same stretch their offense has scored 257 points. Corbin's game plan is to continue this trend, score a bunch and don't allow many.

 

Bell County has found a lot of success with Coach Hilton guiding their offensive talents. They have scored more than 45 points in 7 of their 12 games this season. In fact, they have been held under 36 points only one time this season. That one time was in Corbin. Bell County looks to make some adjustments and have the engine firing this week.

I hope Corbin shuts them out, but I can't see it happening. The Bell County QB who transferred in this year is one of the best players in the state, it's been a while since I have seen anyone as elusive as he is. Their fullback and RB are loads as well, with the fullback weighing in at 250+ with deceptive speed and athletic ability.

I could see this one being a running clock in the second half. Bell County's record is impressive but they've only played one good team and that was a 33-14 loss. It might be worse this time.
