  1. # 15 Is Noah West from Lawrence County, Played QB for them this year and is headed to East Tennessee State I think.
  2. Kentucky wins big 50 - 0 over North Carolina, first running clock game in border bowl history is what we were told
  3. With the nucleus Belfry is returning I think they are the front runner in 3A. Trinity will be back in 6A. South Warren will have several holes to fill and plenty of competition in 5A and Franklin Simpson faces a similar hurdle in 4A so I say no one repeats in 2019.
  4. If some of the offending players are seniors, how do you hand out the penalties for players that wont be there next year?
  5. My business sells and installs backup cameras as well as many other electronic accessories. Rostra sells a replacement rear view mirror that has a monitor built in that is the size of the entire mirror. Some of the other brands just have a small 4.3" screen that is some what difficult to see. Depending on her vehicle there are several camera options some install like the OEM cameras and some attach to the license plate mount. Entry level units with cost you $100 or so, the nicer hard wired units will be around $500 to $600. I would stay away form the wireless units due to there herky-jerky picture quality. Hope this helps.
  6. South Warren makes short work of South Oldham on there way to their second state championship.
  7. Will's speed and nose for the football have made him a tackling machine this year. His ability to get sideline to sideline and make one on one open field tackles has saved more than one big gainer this year.
  8. The Rebels will have there work cut out for them this Friday. The hangover from the win over Belfry may take more than 6 days to recover from. If any coaching staff can get the players focused on the job at hand it is Chuck Smith and Co. Corbin has had the easier path to the semis and look to be near 100% health wise. The wear and tear factor may be the deciding factor in this game. To me it is to close to call at this point.
  9. Depends on which side of the field you were on. It is a mute point if 3 catches the ball instead of deflecting it. But by putting his right hand on Smith before the ball arrived I would have made the same call.
  10. Great facility and fans. I wish we had arrived a little earlier so we could have seen the area under the sunlight. The dive home would have been brutal had the score gone the other way, which it easily could have. Big impact on the game was Boyles D line successful getting a lineman to interfere with the handoff. Hatter. was as close to the ball as the Belfry running back on several downs and contributed to 3 off the fumbles. I think the second half adjustments were the difference in the game.
  11. Mayfield gets one step closer to the "Grocery" and does so in convincing fashion, likely a running clock by half.
  12. Friday is finally here! The sun is even shinning. Got the work schedules adjusted and the car fueled up just a couple hundred miles and 11 hours to go. Good luck to both teams and safe traveling to the Rebel faithful. I am calling this game a toss up at this point.
  13. Scott county is peaking at the right time. SK has plateaued in my opinion and it showed against Bryan Station. If SK could not hold the Defenders below 20 Scott co. will score 50 or more. Simon Kenton will not score as much as FD did last week.
  14. Long bus ride sure beats not getting to play at all.
  15. Turnovers killed the Admirals tonight. I really thought they would top Somerset tonight but it was not to be. Congrats to the Briar Jumpers and good luck the rest of the way.
  16. First time in 25+ years that the Rebel Rowdies where cheering for Lex Cath! On the game Boyles defensive front played GREAT. Hatter, Gwinn, Kelly,Hardwick and Mason Did a great fantastic job against the Lawrence Co. run game.
  17. Saints are the best team the Bengals will play to this point. A KC repeat could be a real possibility.
  18. Highlands may not be the Highlands of old, but they are pretty darn close and it will show in this game. I don't think the Bearcats have seen a defense this fast and well coached and the Bluebirds offense has too many weapons in this one. Highlands 40 to 14.
  19. Danville puts together 4 good quarters this week and wins 28 - 17.
  20. Any team that can hang 78 points on Western Hills has to be taken seriously. I don't know much about Lawrence County other than they depend on the run and must be pretty good at it. I heard they did not attempt one pass Friday night against the Wolverines. A run game like that might see some success early against the Rebels like the Mercer and Garrard Co. games but wont produce enough points to win against Boyles high powered offense.
  21. Pretty much as expected. I think both teams came out healthy and I wish Floyd Central players and fans safe travels.
  22. Of the 12 teams that played in the state championship games last year (2017), 9 are serious contenders to make it back in 2018. The other 3 ( Trinity, Madison Southern and Danville) have struggled through the season all with losing records. Trinity was competitive against a murderer's row of out of state competition but lost twice to in state teams and seem to be a long shot to get back to the grocery in 2018. Madison Southern finished 2 - 8 after losing a championship caliber team to graduation. Danville finished 4 - 6 never finding the continuity or rhythm that would get them over the hump this season. Of these three teams, who returns to greatness the fastest? Will any of them get past the second round of the playoffs? And which team will regain there championship form the soonest?
