Predictions?

Running clock.

Boyle County will score early and often. Once at the running clock they will coast.

I'm glad to see these two local programs play, but Boyle has too many weapons for Mercer to handle. Running clock.

Boyle will win, most likely with a running clock unless the officiating crew that did the Western Hills / Boyle game do this one as well. If that were to be the case then Mercer wins by 3.

Boyle will score as much as they want to!

Boyle wins big, but will give the JV's as much time as the score will allow. Some of the kids are still in the healing mode. Having as many people as healthy as possible is so important in the playoffs. Having said that, I think the first game will allow the Rebels to give their starters plenty of rest. I think we will play Western Hills in the second game. I look forward to that rematch.

Hearing the game has been moved up to Thursday due to weather on Friday.

I’ll see coach Leffew in about 45 minutes I’ll ask him.

I’m hearing the same. Works out great for me if true as my daughter is getting married this weekend. I will now be able to attend the game!

I just got a text from one of the football moms and the game has been moved to Thursday night.

Congrats to you Proud Papa!

Boyle County is 35 and 9 all-time vs Mercer County (Scotties/Titans). Boyle has won 8 of the last 9 meetings. The lone Mercer win coming in the 2013 playoffs 31-

30. A win by Boyle on Thursday would give head coach Chuck Smith his 194th victory as the Boyle head man, against only 43 losses in 18 seasons.

Imagine how much more impressive that would look if you could take away the 2-9 1993 season. :thumb:
