Boyle County dominated this game. They were challenged on a few drives defensively but prevailed and made plays. They did give a TD early in the game but that happens. Reed Lanter is a stud. He had no problem finding his man tonight. Go Rebels!

Boyle's did pretty good with 2 Freshman starting on the D-line with 2 of the starters out.

Boyle actually had seven starters out, including one after the first series plus two others lost earlier in the season. The good thing is that most of these will be back for next weeks game against Lex Cath. Not many teams can play as well as the Rebels did nine players down. This tells a lot about their depth and ability of the younger players. After the first quarter it was complete domination by the Rebels. Sometimes adversity can be a blessing in disguise, with these really young players stepping up the way they did, especially in a long season and the playoffs.

Boyle County also didn't seem to be in this game. They are going to be amped up for Lexington Catholic. No doubt about it.

Several young Rebels stepped up in this game. Caleb Holderman had a nice game with several tackles and Luke Sheperson continues to show big catch ability on offense and a nose for the football on special teams.

 

Garrard had some success on a couple drives in the first half on the ground then caught us overcommitting to the run on 4 or 5 pass plays. But defense is non existent for the Golden Lions as the Rebels did anything they wanted from start to finish.

Some good post on this thread. I enjoyed reading them all. Looks like B.C. is winning games and being forced to build for the future a lot more than maybe they anticipated.
