  1. Per the Todd County Standard from this past Thursday, Frank Johnson is the new head basketball coach at Todd Central.
  2. 5-Ryle 3-Christian County 3-Trinity 1-Highlands 1-Glasgow 1-Graves County 1-Wayne County 1-South Oldham 1-Central Hardin 1-Paris TB-52
  3. This is strange because the other site still has Dreher listed as the boys basketball coach at Fulton City.
  4. Did not see anything to indicate that Hopkins Central is changing coaches. If that is true, it is a dumpster fire for the all-around sports program at Hopkins Central.
  5. 7-Graves County 5-Christian County 3-Daviess County 2-Calloway County 1-Hopkins County Central TB- Christian County
  6. Did Christian County lose that much talent? Also, how much does UHA have coming back next year?
  7. Just saw in the Bowling Green Daily News that Nelson Cundiff has been named head boys basketball coach at South Warren. He was an assistant coach last year at South Warren and was a star player in the 1980's for Russellville. Cundiff has had experience as a head coach at Todd Central, Nelson County, and Mercer County according to the BG Daily News.
  8. Who knows? Maybe Graves will give Bowling Green a run for its money come playoff time in November.
  9. Looks like Graves County will give Hoptown fits when they play in the Claiborne Bowl next Saturday.
  10. South Warren and Whitesville Trinity are still open. Also saw that Dayton has been filled. Is very troubling that there is so many head coaching vacancies this close to the start of the school year.
  11. The only school in the Louisville area that has a job opening now is Whitefield Academy. Since it is a private school, maybe Myles can get hired there.
  12. Getting an opportunity for a great education and to play for a future Hall of Fame coach like Rick Byrd.
  13. Plenty of opportunities to play top Nashville schools for BG such as Brentwood Academy, Ensworth, and even a top Nashville public school such as Overton. Or even top schools around the Nashville area such as Beech, Franklin, Ravenwood, or Murfreesboro Riverdale or Dingle's old school, Oakland. However, do not count on Blackman being on future BG schedules due to the bad blood from their last game.
  14. Looked at the Courier- Journal website and had a story about Mr. Dingle. He comes from Oakland High School in Murfreesboro , which is traditionally one of the top powers in Tennessee high school football.
  15. I read on another site that Knox Central has hired the former girls basketball coach at Williamsburg as its new basketball coach.
  16. A basketball trip to Kentucky for high school basketball would not be complete without going to the Marshall County Hoopfest that usually takes place in early December. It usually attracts some of the top prep teams from across the country.
  17. Is this in reference to a former Paintsville alumnus that has coached at the college ranks at the highest level. Nothing like going for the fences to make a coaching hire.
  18. I would rather go with a Thursday-Saturday format than a Friday-Sunday format. Does not seem right to play high school sports on a Sunday to interfere with church. Most churches are getting into high gear with activities for the Christmas season at the beginning of December. If I am not mistaken, Tennessee has a Thursday-Saturday format for its championship games.
  19. A question and an observation. 1. Does anyone know the longest losing streak in the history of Kentucky high school football? 2. An another chance for Logan County to end its streak if they lose to Hopkins Central would be in the season finale against Todd Central.
  20. According to the Courier-Journal, the interim tag has been removed and Donnie Swiney is the new girls coach at E-town.
  21. If Russellville gets past Beechwood, they will have the edge over Pikeville or whoever Russellville plays since Russellville is just down the road from BG. It would be a natural home field advantage for the Panthers.
  22. A couple of things- A. I read in the Owensboro Messenger-Inquier for today that Tony Hopper has been named basketball coach at Ohio County. Can anyone find out about this. B. Also, Whitesvile Trinity is needing a basketball coach now that its coach has gone to Maysville St. Patrick.
