  1. Final score- Todd Central 28- Butler County 16 The ultimate good news-bad news for Todd Central. Good news, you are in the playoffs Bad news, your first game is probably against Mayfield at Mayfield.
  2. Surprised there is no players from Western Kentucky on this list.
  3. The Pittsburgh Steelers did that just today. Only members of the team on the field during the anthem were some assistant coaches and a Steeler player in the tunnel who was in the military before his playing career. Will be seeing more teams staying in the locker room and skipping the National Anthem altogether at all levels.
  4. Bowling Green-Covington Catholic Mayfield or Owensboro Catholic vs. Danville Russellville vs Owensboro Catholic
  5. I don't know what has been the bigger story this season, Todd Central or Logan County. Todd Central is about to get a big test at Hancock County. The Hornets will be looking for blood due to the fact when Todd came to Hancock last time, the Rebels upset the Hornets and shut them out of the playoffs. Who knows, if Todd wins this game it could start off a run towards a district championship. That does sound crazy, but with the wheels possibly falling off for O-Cath and with tbe Aces coming to Todd thjs year, stranger things have happened. But to paraphrase Rick Flair, to be district champ, you got to beat the district champ.
  6. There are a number of openings that have been filled according to the KHSAA Coach-Administrator Master List. They are as follows: 1. Fulton City- Mark Robertson Jr. 2. Harlan- Tiffany Hamm 3. Prestonsburg- Brandon Kidd 4. Pulaski County- Chris Adkins 5. St. Francis- Adrian Biggs 6. Western Hills- Brandon Muravachick 7. Whitefield Academy- Terreka Walker 8. Wolfe County- Gary Brown 9. Bowling Green- Calvin Head 10. Todd County Central- Travis Lovan This would mean there two girls head coach positions that are still open Kentucky. They are St. Henry and West Jessamjne.
  7. I stand corrected. I knew there was a family connection somewhere. I believe it was a story that was in the Des Moines Register.
  8. I can see Clayton sending a scout for this scrimmage since Hoptown is playing both Mayfield and Madisonville this year.
  9. Just saw on the story that Fredrick's dad played for Notre Dame in the late 80's when the Iowa coach was an assistant coach.
  10. Would start the drumbeat of Caverna merging with either Hart County or Barren County.
  11. In recent years, Hopkinsville did their camp on campus. Also, many years ago, various teams in Western Kentucky would bave preseason camp at the 4H Camp in Dawson Springs.
  12. Amazing to know what comes out of this and the timing of it before the start of the school year. Also curious to know the ratio of students at BGHS and on the Lady Purples team.
  13. Discovered that Nick Napier is the new basketball coach at Williamsburg. It is now down to Leslie County, Breathit County, Western, and Calvary Christian?
  14. Been a long time on this job. Any news on this?
  15. With Mayfield, it is not a rebuilding year, it is a reloading year as always.
  16. I wonder if the fact that BG promoted from within will convince him to stay at least an another year in a Purple uniform.
  17. Maybe he will postpone it to Friday or Saturday to see who will be the new head man for the Purples.
  18. Don't know, although Mayfield is down the road, where the Cleavers and one Edward Haskell made their home. Yuk Yuk!!
  19. Per last Wednesday's West Kentucky Star, Brad Cleaver is the new head basketball coach at Calloway County. According to the article, he is a Calloway County alumnus that played college ball at Morehead State.
  20. Per the West Kentucky Star a couple of days ago, Dain Gregory is the new head football coach at Fulton City. He was an assistant coach at Trigg County last year and was the head coach at Logan County. That leaves Caverna as the only school in Kentucky needing a head football coach.
  21. According to the West Kentucky Star, Mark Brooks is the new head football coach at Ballard Memorial. He was the former defensive coordinator at Hoptown and was also a former assistant coach at Todd Central
