I saw on the Ludlow School District website that the basketball coaching job has been filled with Wofford. It is surprising that Ludlow is still on the board looking for a coach on this site and the other site as well. Is this an official hire?

Carothers and Bright have proven themselves to be the top of the class in running backs in Western Kentucky this year. But a sleeper to look at is Johnny Drumgole at Russellville. He would be a steal for a school like Western or MTSU and would be a great grab for an OVC school like Murray or Austin Peay.

This game sounded like a track meet. I have a couple of questions. 1. Someone that went to the game told me Butler County had a receiver that Russellville could not stop. Does anyone know who that is? 2. What college offers does Rex Henderson have at this point? Thanks for any info on these two questions.

I see where the boys basketball program at Fulton City has named its head coach for the upcoming season. Has a coach been named for the girls program as well?

The KHSAA coach list database says Kevin Geary is the basketball coach at Shawnee.

It will be a tight game. However, Russellville is going to make Henderson work for his stats. The difference will be in the speed and athleticism that the Panthers have in abundance.

An another 0-2 3A team not mentioned in this thread is Paducah Tilghman. How does Tilghman stack up to the other top 0-2 teams in 3A?

Saw on the KHSAA website that Shawnee already has a coach.

Also add Fulton City to the list. According to the KHSAA website, both the boys and girls basketball head coaching jobs are open at Fulton City.

Has this hire been made? This job has been open for a long time. If a hire has been made, it needs to be taken off the board from the KHSAA on down.

Any news on this job? It seems like Caverna has a real hard time keeping coaches around for any of its sports teams.

Yes and no. Crittenden County was rebuilding from last year's team, which went 7-5 last year. Crittenden won 35-14 against Todd Central at Crittenden. This year's game was at Todd Central. However, Todd Central has a new coach who is also the Middle School Principal. His wife is also the new athletic director at Todd Central and he sat on several of the interviews with the other candidates for the coaching job. According to what he said in The Todd County Standard, none of these other candidates were interested in the job and he was hired as the new football coach. That caused some drama when this occurred. However, from all accounts, Todd Central did pretty well last night, despite losing the game.

Per the Todd County Standard from this past Thursday, Frank Johnson is the new head basketball coach at Todd Central.
