Three teams in the top six of BGP's rankings sit at 0-2:

-Central, with losses to Manual (21-20) and Corbin (20-14)

-Boyle County, with losses to North Hardin (21-20, ot) and Lafayette (47-21)

-Caldwell County, with losses to Christian County (50-34) and Franklin-Simpson (14-6)

Each of those opponents are ranked with the exception of North Hardin, who sits just outside the top 10. My question is, which of those teams is the best?

I think Central at this point is the best of the three, but I could see each of these 3 being able to beat the other two. These are still 3 good teams and one of them, IMO, will be playing for a state title this season.

This is a tough one. Based on the results so far, I'm going with Central. Losses to the 8th ranked team in 6A and the 2nd ranked team 3A by a combined 7 points gives them the nod over Boyle in my book.

It's hard to gauge Caldwell because the FS game was essentially incomplete. Maybe they come back and win that one, giving them a win over a top 5 team in 4A.

It's not Boyle. It's been said by many people since the spring that this would be a year to learn, grow and get angry. Way too young. Should play hard every game and get better as season goes but it's not their year.

An another 0-2 3A team not mentioned in this thread is Paducah Tilghman. How does Tilghman stack up to the other top 0-2 teams in 3A?

Boyle is not there yet....maybe later in the season....but not yet.

Go Rebels!

Louisville Central right now!

Depends on which game you are looking at

Against McCracken they didn't look like a Top 15 team in 3A and could get absolutely nothing going

Against Central Hardin they looked like a team capable of a deep playoff push

For me in order:

Central- Manual is a top 10 6A team they took to the very end, Corbin is the #2 3A team they took to the end

Caldwell- Probably the weakest competition of the three (but still VERY good), just can't give them the edge over Central

Boyle- A close loss to a Top 15 6A team and a blowout to a Top 10 overall team (maybe even Top 5) in the entire state.

Tilghman- If both losses were like last week they may be #1... but for a team with a chronic case of schizophrenia over the past 5 or 6 seasons it just feels like Groundhog Day.

IMO...Caldwell received too much "love" during the preseason. Rebuilding phase. They should be better in 2017

1) Central

2) Caldwell County

3) Boyle County
