After two years as the head coach at her alma mater, Wendi Hammons has stepped down and left the Lady Panthers searching for a new coach.

Knox Central Lady Panthers have hired Bobby Bowling as their new head coach

Congratulations to Bobby. He's been on the staff of several boys programs over the year and coached Hazard's girls at one time.

He started out at Owsley, then Breathitt, North Laurel, South Laurel, and Hazard. Happy he's now a head coach.

According to @Coach4 in the Open Jobs thread, the head coach position is open again. I checked the school district's website and they have a posting listed for the position, but it dates back to April - Coach Bowling was hired in May. Can anyone confirm whether or not the job is open again?

Bobby Bowling has been hired as an assistant coach on Dave Fraley's staff at Powell County.

He was earlier hired as the Knox Central girls coach but backed out after being offered the Powell position.

I read on another site that Knox Central has hired the former girls basketball coach at Williamsburg as its new basketball coach.
