I hate when posters on BGP call posts out as "bulletin board material" but I saw it happen this week. Our kids were bombarded with comments about how Ryle was "physical" and they were "finesse" (I must admit I did my share of the taunting). A number of kids referenced posts on BGP that they thought were disrespectful and it motivated them. Ryle's #2 was a marked man, he was not going to be allowed to beat them. Couple this with a number of quotes from the NKY papers and the Rocks came out with something to prove. Add in a healthy dose of scouting and preparation by the best coaching staff in the state (IMO) and it turned out to be all Rocks. Congrats to Ryle, if it helps any I saw a really similar game back in 2000 when the Rocks were on the short end. Trinity seems to have rebounded quite nicely.:thumb:

I'm going out on a limb and predict that the Rocks take #18 in 07 to complete a duo of three-peats in just 7 seasons. I think Male will be hit hard by the graduation of Mr. Football Doug Beaumont. Likewise, the graduation of Vic Anderson will be too much for the Tigers to overcome. The Rocks started 9 underclassmen this past season. There was also a large number not starting but playing key roles. Couple that with another outstanding JV season and the future looks pretty bright in St.Matthews. Go Rocks, take the first 6A title.:thumb:

Maybe you are the one that won't see. How do you explain tiny little Highlands beating NKY4A schools on a regular basis? Or Beechwood for that matter. You guys have to look inward and try to solve your issues. I have been preahing for a couple of years now that NKY4A is too one-dimensional. I stated this week, what happens if the Rocks shut down Murray? What is plan B? Well we found out tonight. I knew if an NKY4A team couldn't win with Alexander, then they most likely couldn't win. Newsflash, Male would have had a similar result against Ryle.

I know it was a jinx that you can blame on LSURock. It was during the Ballard game in the pouring rain. I had just stated that "Brian hasn't thrown a pick all season". Bingo, he tosses his one and only pick of the year.

I agree that the Bush/Brohm battle was in a class of its own. Nick Petrino put on quite a show last year. Threw for one score and ran for the other. The competition took Nick lightly and sold him short up until that game. They realize he is for real now. Lets go Nick, one more time baby!!!

Not in this game. Unlike that little game between friends back in September, this actually means something. I don't expect either side to agree to a partial game. They will get it in.

To your first point. I know of several that haven't. Don't sell Beatty and staff short. They are the best in my opinion and Beatty is the glue tht holds it together. OCs come and go, DCs come and go, etc. but the winning doesn't stop during the Beatty era. Not a slam at anyone else, but the program is in a great place right now and Bob is biggest part of that. FYI, Trinity doesn't have a hundred kids in the soph/jr/senior classes. More like a total of 90 to 95. Is Trinity a great program to be in charge of? Of course. Is success guaranteed? No way.

With dry balls and the gloves available now days rain isn't the factor in the passing game that it used to be. I hope the game is played injury free and the weather plays little or no role in the outcome. Good luck to both teams. Go Rocks Go!!!

According to the CJ this morning the first game will kick-off with a temp of about 25 degress. Doesn't sound like much fun.

Sure you do, you also think NewCath is better than Bowling Green, Danville and Mercer. I don't put too much stock in your analysis. Maybe it has something to do with rationalizing NewCath getting whooped by Ryle earlier this season.
