I really don't know the potocol of changing the time of a playoff game, but if the Rocks have to agree it aint happening. A two o'clock game on a Friday over an hour away for the chance to advance to state. I don't think so. Thanks for asking.

What a game. this is what its all about. The Dawgs took a few hard shots to the chops in the first half. They came roaring back in the third quarter. The Rocks found themselves down a couple of scores in the fourth, but refused to lose. Doug Beaumont is a MAN. He lifted the Dawgs on his shoulders in the second half and almost pulled it out. Nick Petrino started out on fire in the first half. He cooled off in the third (due in large part to Male's D stepping up). But he proved that he is a player in the fourth. He stepped up and led the Rocks to the lead. The defense then held (and held again with .06 on the clock) for the win. This one is special. Hats off to Coach Beatty and the entire staff. Go Rocks, beat Henry Clay.:thumb: I'm really looking forward to that Thanksgiving morning practice.

You guys will deal with the same constraints as the rest of us. And OBTW, transferring into a school in the 8th grade won't cut it in the new system. I have a feeling that HS coaches attending 5th and 6th grade games is going to skyrocket.

Sorry to hear that. I was going to be on the lookout for a BAMA hat. I actually thought about wearing some Bengal Tiger purple and gold, then decided against it. All kidding aside. Good luck to both teams and may the best team win.

I was told at the Athletic office at Trinity that the game would be broadcast live on 900AM.

Great job Nick. He has come a long way. He is truly a leader on this team. I really think if he is able to lead the Rocks past the favored Dawgs tonight, and then on to a second state championship he should be named Mr. Football. He is a winner, I don't have any higher praise for a player than that.

Trinity sold out of the original 3,000. They made a trip over to Male and returned with more. They are going fast, so get them quick.

Sadly, I don't know that it would be his call. The powers at Trinity had already decided to move the game from "their home field" if X had won. Why would this game be any different. I think if it was Trinity's choice, the game would be moved to PJCS. I understand home field, I was all for playing an X/T game at Marshall if possible. But in the end cooler heads would have moved the game. FYI 85, thats what they call "coachspeak". On a side note. I just returned from Maxwell Field. Workers are busy lining the field and getting ready for tonight's game. The field looks pretty good. A number of spots seem to have little grass and what grass there is, is dormant. But overall, the footing should be OK. There will be plenty of mud stains (as opposed to grass stains) but the balls should be dry and the track pretty fast.The field shouldn't be a factor in the outcome.

Its official, we're doomed. The new guy in CJ picked the Rocks to win. I wish Jody would have told him not to do that. We're doomed I tell ya!!!

Where is the bash? I suggest you don't start an issue where none exists. If the JV isn't a good barometer for future Varsity success, what is?

Well I guess its true that Male has unlimited speed. The Rocks are doomed. I just hope none of our boys get hurt Friday. Great season fellas, there is always next year.
