I am not sure about expenses or how they are handled for the playoffs but travel like that is a very big expense for a small district like Fulton Co too. I would dare say that trip could be well over $1000 and if that has to come from the football program they may simply not have it.

Fulton co to NE Jefferson Co is a BROODLE haul! 4 hours 15 Mins one way. How many kids are the Pilots fielding this year? I don't blame them for the forfeit.

In the Radcliff area going to Meade co...... you can always go to Otter Creek Tavern...its a dive but has a great fish sandwich and other bar food. Eat at the Spot in Radcliff is SOLID!

I have noticed that Coach Dew has a huge fan club here. The last time is was speculated mayfield was open a lot of folks were talking up Coach Dew. That may have been just some misinformation or smoke screen. I do know that Coach Dew has some Head Coaching Experience in KY (I believe 2 season at Lone Oak before Jack Haskins took over the program and won big time with Oakers) but not sure about his out of state career. My question is this..... based on age along is Coach Dew a viable long term solution like the Cardinal Faithful are accustom to or will we be having this conversation again in 5 or 6 years ??

But the principal being named and it not being Hatchell does this make him the frontrunner for the job?

Matt McMain has been named new principal at Mayfield High School! Matt was an assistant basketball coach and history teacher a few years ago and most recently held the same position at Murray High School . His wife Toree taught at the middle school as well as being Head softball coach at Trigg County a few years ago. Matt and Toree are the proud parents of 2 sons and are expecting their 3 rd son in a few months. Congratulations to the McMain family. ?

IMO this is a home run hire! He has a few years left before he retires.... a great way to finish up!!! He went to Graves from Nelson, then to Warren Central, then to PT then to MAyfield I believe.... I am not 100% certain on this.

I was told that CHHS had very few applications due to the suspicion that Jackson was a slam dunk for the job. He was unable to take it due to a family commitment that is leading him out of state. That it was never offered to anyone but Stockdale. Can you tell us differently, and who applied and rejected...because that's not what I heard.

isn't Marc Clark the former HC that went back to Hopkinsville untethered at this time? would he come back? Who are some retired coaches floating around in the area who may want to take over this program? what about the former coach of marshall coach Etheridge?

I think a better question would be.... if you had to go somewhere and start a football program where would you go? (not talking about a school without football I mean you as a HC are going to start and build...where would you choose?) I believe it was lou holtz..... that said there are no open good jobs.... all the good jobs are taken. with that said.... there are some great programs and communities listed on this thread. I pose this question.... have those programs always been great? Good? etc.....? and I feel the answer is no. Every great program was once not a good job and someone came in put the time in and started laying the foundations for success.

I have known coach myers for a long long time. Someone I have the most respect for! he is another great coach from the Ron Finley Coaching Fraternity of Campbellsville Univ! I believe he was a triple option guy when he was at russellville. So the wing t maynot be coming with him from glascow!

all that infighting and parental issues seems to spill over the the NH team as well.... talk about the need for a culture overhaul! it was that way and has been for years well back into the NHYFL. When I was a NH you had kids still clinging to their NHYFL team and loyal to those teams!
