I've said it before on one of the preseason ranking threads, but this feels like the right time to repeat it. I find myself very invested in the BGP rankings on a weekly basis. If you can take serious issue or heavily critique the polls provided by the BGP team then you should have no problem producing your own. Put yourself out there to be judged. It's ten fold easier to be a hater as opposed to actually doing your own research and putting the work in.

Boyle County does not have a path to a mythical National Championship. That doesn't mean the win, their team, and their overall success as a program isn't impressive. At the risk of not being fun, I have to say folks need to slow way down.

Purples coasted tonight, it was a good bounce back performance. Owensboro has some things to figure out but this is really good BG team they are dealing with. Good game to O. Next week against Bryan Station should be another strong test.

The South Warren/Gibson/Owensboro comparison is a good reference considering it's all we have to go by. Owensboro dominated that game against South. I like where your head is at @Brown and I'll also say a 2 TD victory for CAL.

I find myself curious about this game. Scott County sounds awful banged up. It sounds like depth is an issue for the Cardinals. Are they so depleted that GC could really pull this off? I have a really hard time seeing it. I feel like an 0-2 start would really damage the confidence of a group that probably was expecting to start 2-0. Regardless, I hope they get healthy soon as I want to see the full picture for what Scott County has to offer. Give me the Cardinals 28-20

I think it was because Litmer only had 120 passing on 21 attempts. Saying that, his completion percentage is fantastic but it showed me they are probably still ironing out some kinks and there wasn't much of a downfield threat presented in the game. Thus in turn allowed Lex Cath to limit big plays and put an emphasis to stop the run. Watching the game, the Birds were/are massive and still ran the ball well. Additionally, it's hard to have the full measure of a new team after just one week.
