BluegrassPreps.com Class 6A Football Rankings 9/9

Featured Replies

Class 6A
1. Trinity at Carmel (IN)
2. Male -- OPEN
3. Manual vs. Eastern
4. Saint Xavier -- OPEN
5. Frederick Douglass at Tates Creek
6. Ryle vs. 5A #3 Highlands
7. Bryan Station vs. #10 Ballard
8. Bullitt East at 5A Bullitt Central
9. Madison Central vs. 5A North Laurel
10. Ballard at #7 Bryan Station

Bryan Station vs. Ballard looks like the game of the week. Two ranked 6A teams with the loser probably not ranked next week.

So Ryle lost and didn't lose a spot and SK lost and got booted out of the top 10 makes sense.

SK lost to Cov Cath by 39 and Ryle beat Cov Cath by 16. Calpreps has SK 13th in 6A plus Ryle played a very good Cooper team to competitive 7 pt loss. I think the BGP rankings at this point have it right.

Ryle beat Cov Cath. Even in losing to Cooper, they played them well. I think the rankings are solid.

Thanks for catching that. Overlooked Ryle winning that game. So even more solid ranking.

So we are comparing scores this year? That never works.

I cleaned it up.

We do have Simon ranked 11th so a win this week will probably put them back in.

I still don't understand Ryle not dropping a loss is a loss 1 point or 40 points. So if they lose to Highlands they shouldn’t drop a spot then.

We don't look at it that way and 1A is even a better example with Pikeville.

Ryle should be 8 or 9.

I think Ryle is in the correct spot.  Look at it this way, I don't think the 4 teams  below them are beating Ryle and I don't think Ryle is beating 5 teams ahead of them.  I know, I know....that sounds crazy because it might be logical, but since when does logic have anything to do with the rankings?!?!

SK has a chance to show how good they are, they lose by 39 points, and you are worried about the difference between 11 place and 8 place in a poll that has no bearing on literally ANYTHING.  Got it......
