Agreed on all of it there. I just find it to be so fundamentally flawed and everyone knows Calpreps is far superior in every capacity.

So I thought the biggest thing with RPI is simply to win no matter the opponent.  Which is a flawed concept to start.

How are so many teams with losses above teams with no losses?

Hard to argue against Cooper at the 1. After that, it is a little silly. 

I can pretty much guarantee that Scott County would running clock East Jessamine yet they are rated ahead of them by 3 spots and Anderson Co. is 8 ahead of them they will in 3 weeks and see how that game will play out.

Not defending RPI, but no medals are given out in a 100M run after 40 meters.

RPI rewards people who play a cupcake schedule but the teams they play have a hard schedule. Sorry that's the formula.

I think people should relax a little bit.  These rankings are going to drastically change over the next couple weeks with district play starting.

 RPI has been a completely inferior rating system. The angst is justified. It’s been bad since the day it was introduced.

Nothing is ever going to be perfect.  I personally believe that since the RPI was introduced we have gotten way better state championship games.
