I would say Highlands by 24. SK just doesn’t play the kind of schedule they should to prepare for bigger games like this.

It is totally respectable to play a tough schedule and take lumps if you have to. Playing to build winless seasons against sub-par competition doesn’t win championships.

Who had Scott County favored? I get them beating Moeller, but Lasalle is on another level right now.

It should be a good game, that LexCath QB is a great player so beware.

Don’t be so defensive, I didn’t say Highlands wasn’t good. They are one of the top teams in NKY this year and should beat everyone except CovCath.

Ryle just seems out of sync, they aren’t as good as they were to start the season and look a bit lost on offense. They had a pretty good second half at LexCath and a so-so game against BC but the wheels seemed to fall off during the Highlands game.

Neither team was very disciplined, I was surprised that players didn’t get ejected after throwing punches.

No, CovCath is a lot better than them.

This should be a good game, I will say Ryle wins at home. Ryle’s schedule this year playing the best team in the state and then against the best QB in the state is preparing them for these games.

In all fairness, all the GCL schools would beat the Louisville schools.

Cooper will be lucky if they don’t have a running clock midway through the 2nd quarter.

I have seen CovCath play twice and only saw Trinity in the scrimmage. What is similar is both teams are very polished but CovCath has better weapons and a little better size. It would be a good game but I am convinced that CovCath would win at least this year.

If you haven't seen CCH play yet, try to make it to one of their games. I believe they are the #1 team in the state.

I don’t think anyone in the state can beat CCH.

Let’s not forget that these kids are students first and all kids develop at different paces. Coaches make kids better but more importantly the players need to have the heart to make themselves better as well. I think as the season goes on, Ryle’s QB will improve but remember they started off the year against their best opponent.

I personally prefer QB under center with 2 RB. I say ground and pound inside the 10. But there are teams that don’t have the size to do that so a shotgun can still be effective if you have the right weapons on the field.

That 2016 Ryle defense was pretty stout! Weren't many kinks in that chain, don't see many groups of kids so dedicated to each other.

The kicking game is more like a car crash at the Freshman level and sometimes at the JV level as well. Sure it gives more kids a chance to be on the field but there are more injury risks on those plays.

How did the younger lineman from the NKY schools look?

Probably the best place for him on this roster. What other Sophomores might see playing time? I know the Junior class is very good.
