Covington Catholic/Ryle updates

CovCath really has it rolling, congrats guys.

Casey McGinness wins the Skyline Crosstown Showdown game MVP for his 4 touchdowns.

Wow!

Congrats Casey and thanks Skyline for putting money into Kentucky High School Football.

Cov Cath has it rolling. Not a big surprise.

Ryle keeping in their 1st team in the 3rd while CCH put their backups in was lame. Game could have been 60-0.

Sounds like CovCaths 2s are really good also.

Well it looks like the old saying is holding true in 5A. “To be the champ you have to beat the champ”.

Congratulations to an impressive opening Covington Catholic.

Not shocked here. Covington Catholic is really good. And Ryle is reeling. Ryle coaches better get things under control and quick. Could be a long season.

Rule #13

The Colonels win and earn their 13th straight running clock over Kentucky competition.

When did they move the running clock down to 33 points???

When did they move the running clock down to 33 points???

The running clock starts as soon as there is a score differential of 36 points or more. The clock keeps running even after the differential is changed to less than 36 points. That started in the 2013 season.

Cov Cath was up 40-0 and started the running clock. Ryle kept their starters in the whole game, and managed to score against the Cov Cath 2's or 3's to make it 40-7.

When did they move the running clock down to 33 points???

It was 40-0 when the running clock started.

CovCath could be the top team in KY this year.
