  1. Both teams have some really talented players, It reminds me of the 2015 and 2016 teams.
  2. It looks like Cooper will take a few huge steps forward this year. This match up would be better in the regular season though.
  3. This is actually a pretty fascinating turn of events for KHSAA athletics. I personally think it makes sense. If you start in a district and don't move, you should stay with that district.
  4. If an athlete does not qualify for the state meet at their regional meet or doesn't finish that event in that meet but holds one of the top marks in their event in the state, do they still not make the state meet or are there exceptions that allow them to compete?
  5. It was horrible, he was playing exactly the way we teach DBs to cover. His hand was flat and he got in front of the ball. That penalty cost the Bengals the game.
  6. Aaron Donald consistently lines up in favorable angles and hovering on being almost offsides. My biggest problem with the officiating is that they ignored how much holding Ramsey was doing.
  7. The Bengals have roughly $57,000,000 worth of cap space going into next season, lots of room to bring in high caliber free agents. The Rams however are around -$10,000,000 and won't be able to keep all that they have.
  8. My guess is that there will be several veteran offensive linemen wanting to talk to the Bengals. I would sign a center or guard and definitely a tackle. They could bolster in the draft but they will be a late 1st round pick and the 1st round high caliber guys will be gone.
  9. HHS will stay wherever CovCath is. Regardless of size, HHS shouldn't drop down simply due to the amount of 5A versus 4A schools in their area.
  10. It really seems to be a lateral move in the end. While NCAA DII seems more prestigious, there are a lot of good NAIA schools that would dominate in most DII conferences. There just are some many layers to college sports to choose from.
  11. Even Nick Saban said that Cincinnati gave them all they could handle. Now if Georgia blows out Bama, which won't happen, maybe Michigan has an argument for #3.
  12. Rick is a great coach and an all around great choice if they went this direction. My son loved playing for him.
  13. So, what changes can we expect at Georgetown? Will the offense be drastically different? Will they change the defense? They have several talented freshmen who as sophomores should be able to compete at a high level.
  14. My son picked Georgetown because of Coach Cronin. He seemed a little saddened when I spoke to him last night.
  15. At the end of the day you have to do what is right for you and your family. 12 years is a long time in any job anymore so I get the moving on aspect. I think ND needs to be in a conference and until they are, you won't really have the competitive advantage of any power 5 school. He is getting to the point in his career that if he wants to really leave a legacy, he has to win the championship and his best shot at that is in the SEC. I don't like the fact that any of these coaches leave before their seasons are actually over but that unfortunately is a loophole that doesn't look like it will ever be fixed.
  16. As a long time Notre Dame fan, my pick isn't on this list. I think they should go after John Harbaugh, I would love to see that yearly brotherly war with Michigan. If I did go off this list, I would say Fitzgerald makes the most sense for the program. He already deals with high academia and showed that he knows what it takes to win.
  17. Is this the 2nd or 3rd time he has done this? The NCAA needs to change the rules so coaches don't leave before their actual season is over.
  18. Maybe John Harbaugh or Matt Campbell. I could see the Harbaugh vs Harbaugh game becoming the biggest rivalry in college football.
  19. It's really no different than when seniors graduated early to enroll in college so this makes sense.
  20. I would say undisciplined, Ryle's DL really wasn't what it usually is this season. I don't believe there was a discrepancy in the calls. As I have said, they called a fair game. If you can, go back and re-watch the game on film and you will see.
  21. My point is that the officials called the game pretty even. I saw the hold after hold since I have always tended to watch the line of scrimmage more closely than most people do. If you can, go back and watch film and see it for yourself. Now, I didn't agree with the fumbled punt being replayed, that was clearly Trinity's ball and that would be the only big mistake by the crew.
  22. Both teams had parents complaining. I get it, parents will be parents but you have to accept that the officials aren't out there to play favorites and should be appreciated for their efforts. 22 players on the field make it hard for 5 guys to keep track of, not to mention the other 100 or so players on the sidelines and couple dozen coaches.
  23. I was at the game, it was pretty much down the middle. Both groups of parents were complaining about the calls and the no calls (which there were more of).
  24. This game was called pretty much right down the middle. Did the officials miss calls? Of course but you have to remember that there are just a few to the 22 players on the field.
