Yes, this is their first win & unfortunately probably their only one. I think Anderson Co. is going to come hard for them since Mark Peach is a former head coach of Dunbar several years ago & then they have their typical District games against Station, Henry Clay & Scott Co. & finish up with Boyle Co. I figure a 1-11 season with that schedule.

waiting to here the ruling this morning. I'm leaning towards a Scott Co. forfeit which will make for a very interesting matchup in the playoffs I am thinking.

On another note, after Chuck was done @ UK, I tried to hire him at the school I was at. I knew if I hired him I was basically on borrowed time if/when Boyle Co. opened back up & had already heard some rumblings that French was possibly on his way out. In hindsight, I am glad with who I hired & the stability he brought my program & I didn't have to go through what happened shortly after with Madison Central. (nothing against Coach Smith, I woulda done the same exact thing that he did)

I understand the rules but its not like that conversation in the car on the way to Bardstown even needed to happen. They were going to hire him no matter who else applied.

Hate to see his senior year end like this before it really got started with him not on the football field or the basketball court due to injury. Great young man for sure.

I wonder when this was built? It looks like a Federal Works project that would have been built in the 30's or 40's.

Pikeville High School and Pike Central High stadiums are less than 4 miles from each other, but they haven't become natural rivals. Pike Central opened in the fall of 1993 with the consolidation of Johns Creek & Mullins. I am unsure if Pikeville played Pike Central in the years 93-97, but this years game is only the 2nd head to head contest since 1998 from available KHSAA stats. Last year Pikeville beat Pike Central 53-0 in the last game of the regular season.

Fayette County charges $6 for an adult ticket & $4 for a student ticket. Not sure about the privates in town; Lexington Catholic, Lexington Christian and Sayre. Someone told me that Catholic was $5 flat rate ticket, but I haven't had time to confirm.

I'm a little out of practice @PurplePride92 but if he is new to the team, basically he has to follow the same rules they do right after dead period. Beginning July 10th, they can go helmets only July 22nd, they can go helmets, shoulder pads & shorts August 1st, practice can be in full gear for anyone that has had 3 practices in shells. Since teams are in full swing now, M/T/W/Th will be days he can get counted towards his acclimation time, it will take him nearly 3 weeks to get fully cleared (unless they are bringing the team in on Sat/Sun for walkthru kind of practices & follow this same protocol)

He wont be eligible for this week or next week if they follow the acclimation protocol if I am counting correctly.

Will have to wait & see how many Lafayette players are suspended from the sideline fight with Dunbar. Heard there were 2 ejections & it was going to be reviewed since multiple players left the bench area.

Not to change the subject, but did Dr. Lucas end up somewhere else, or is he still teaching @ Manual?
