This kid is absolutely killing it right now and has to be considered Top 3 in his class with the way he is playing against the best in the Country.... Part of what appears to be a strong class.

IMO Trevon Faulkner is the best player in the 2018 class. I thought I had created a thread for him but it looks like I dropped the ball. Trevon can run the point or he can play the 2. His pull-up jumper game is above the high school level. He can penetrate and score on anyone and he isn't afraid to try to dunk it on any and all comers. His jump shot improved tremendously from his freshman year to his sophomore year and he has needed exposure to show what he can do. He's what most consider a "young" sophomore and may not be done growing. I'd love to know his wingspan.

I have yet to see a 2018 kid I would rank above Trevon knowing what all he can do and adding the fact that he is still growing and should only get better. I'll also add that when it comes to ranking kids I am an extreme novice. Some kids just have it and you know it when you see it. Trevon is a damn good player.

I am in full agreement. If I am drafting from the 2018 pool this young man is my number 1 pick. He already is arguably playing better than anyone in the class and his upside is what separates him from the pack. Add to the fact he is well mannered and respectful off the court. He is not even 16 1/2 years old and he already has a college ready build so it will be interesting to see his growth the next year.

Trevon is one fine guard. I was really impressed with his ability to run the point. I can recall mercer not skipping a beat, and on a couple occasions, playing better with him at the 1 spot. The Anderson county game was one, in particular, that comes to mind. Will Hager was saddled with a little foul trouble and coach sat him for a good while and I believe Trevon handeled the 3/4 court pressure the Bearcats were dishing better than his backcourt mate was.

It really surprises me that he has not seen an offer yet. There has to be a ton of interested takers, so it's my guess that before he begins play in his junior year, he will have landed a couple D-1 offers. I can't wait to see just how far he can take his game! Let's not forget that he had the ball in his hand, on his favorite side of the floor to drive to the basket from, with 0:10 on the clock, down 1 in the 1st round Sweet16 game against the eventual champs.... But coach Cook wanted to set something up and called time. I think, of course we will never know, if he had driven the ball and scored, he would have been the tournaments MVP, and his Titans the Champs! I guess there are a lot of "what ifs" but I think there is some probability to this one.... Fun to dream a little too!

To answer your question, he has no offers. Which is crazy to me. But it seems he hasn't gotten much national exposure prior to this weekend.

The 2018 class is loaded. There are several kids that don't get much buzz on this site simply because we haven't seen them all. I travel around the AAU circuit with this age group...it is loaded. Trevon and Steven scratch the surface; they MAY be the top 2, time will tell. If you get a chance get out and check out the Travelers, Magic, Hoop Dreams, WKY Elite, Team Manimal and others.

They have accomplished more so far this AAU season, at a higher level, than any of the teams listed? Their leading scorers are Robert Phinisee (IU and Purdue offers, with a ton of interest from the highest of the high majors) and CJ Fredrick.

Point proven, I failed to mention Indy Elite team along with a lot of other teams. There are so many kids in the class that have not been properly evaluated. JJ Reed, Andrew Taylor, Mickey Pearson etc etc....most don't know these names yet. Trevon appears to be very special; thus he gets his own thread.

Sorry that my post came across that way to you, if that is how you took it. I keep seeing threads on KY-based teams, which is great, and clearly that class has a lot of kids that are getting a lot of national attention, so thought it was a fair reminder. Apologize it came across that way to you.

Most of the shoe teams don't. One or two may play in Louisville. But normally the closest they get is Indy I think
