Guess my confidence is a little less.... Totally selfish of me tho. I really want what is best for Trevon. If prep school is what he needs to make his dreams come true, that is what he should do. It is my opinion that he could just as easily achieve his goals at Mercer, but there are far more knowledgeable folks in his inner circle, that will help him make the RIGHT decision!

I'd like to believe the same D-1 opportunities will be available for him at Mercer County as they would at Oak Hill but I honestly don't know. If the Travelers play in the EYBL next year then he'll likely be fine if he repeats this summer's performance. If they aren't in the EYBL he may want to give Oak Hill a long hard look and evaluate his future. I'd hate to see him go for selfish reasons(I mean, damn, he's less than 25 minutes from my house) but if he heads to Oak Hill then I get it.

Schools in and Trevon is walking the halls! I am excited to see how this team performs. It will be tough to top last season, but who knows.... Better by subtraction??? I doubt it, but I'm excited none the less!

Zero chance you graduate what they did and get better. I watched Mercer play some summer ball in June and unless Trevon is scoring, it's hard for them to get a bucket.

I think he will stay at Mercer.

When young men are grounded and humble as Trevon is, there is less chance for outsiders to use ego driven tactics to convince kids they need to self promote themselves. He also has lots of extended family in that community who really care about him at Mercer, so it is a bond that will be tough to break. I would not be surprised if Mercer has a great year and Trevon leads them far into the post season.

Agreed. I've always been in the camp that has said Trevon will never leave Mercer County.

I'm nothing more than a fan. I know that Trevon is a super young man, by how he competes and based on his polite and curtious disposition any time I have spoken to him in passing or post game. I love to watch him play and am glad that humility and pride seem to run so deep with him. Two more seasons would make him Mercers all time leading scorer, most likely, and that IMO would be a very deserved accomplishment, for an all around good guy!
