  1. Are we trying to beat around the bush that Coach Sullivan is now going to be the Coach at St Henry?
  2. I think it is ok. I see no problem with it. I voted "no."
  3. For the first time since 1996, I almost came to blows with someone. There is a young autistic girl who works at McDonald’s and I was in there getting some coffee. Her job is to just hang around dining room, pick up garbage, and sweep a little bit. She’s the cutest little thing, and she goes up and smiles at everyone and says “hi.” She usually says hi to the same people three or four times while they eat. This older gentleman, probably in his late 50s, starts yelling at her and making her cry. Apparently he was annoyed that she kept coming over to say hi to him. He kept yelling “stay back. I’m trying to eat “ of course he had no food in front of him. He was only waiting. Me being a good Christian man on on Easter Sunday start yelling at him saying “she’s fine. You need to stop. She’s just trying to be nice!” He then walks out of McDonald’s and I, in my best effort to be preacher of the year, continue to yell in the parking lot telling him he should not just scream at a special needs person. He gets in his pick up truck and my emotions continue to get the best of me and I yell one more time and then I get my cell phone out pretending like I am taking a picture of his pick up truck. At this point, I thought I probably took it too far and he gave me a really nasty look, so I quickly ran back inside McDonald’s to get my coffee. When was the last time any of you were in a little fisticuffs?
  4. Well, mine is not nearly as important as any of yours, but I was shocked how much I loved it when I took my son to Washington DC. It was my first time ever going and it was one of those shrimps where you you were thinking about how soon till I can get it over. I loved it though. The Lincoln Memorial is overwhelming and just seeing the history there is very inspiring and almost emotional.
  5. Lol.... yep... but that tea is staying on the kettle.
  6. I'm not sure how this benefits anyone. If Holmes wants to schedule the D-III schools, then just call their AD and ask to schedule them. Is Newport really going to play Heritage next year?
  7. Bryan Caruso, an independent league player, is the only person in recorded baseball history to ever get out three times in the same inning. He made the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd out. I do recall Chris Heisey making the first two outs of an inning for the Reds in 2012. I wanted the Reds to bat around again just to give hm a shot.
  8. From 1984-1987, Juan Samuel led the NL in errors, strike-outs, and times caught stealing. Kind of like his own triple crown.
  9. I doubt it would be allowed, but I would love to see Grant Brannen.
  10. E'h... have we ever actually heard anything from the Principal either? Am I right in saying that everything we know is from what the news and Mrs. Sullivan reported? I don't have the same connections that I did a few years ago but I have not read or heard anything from Coach Sullivan (whom I admire), Principal Wilson (whom I hear is an okay guy), or AD Borchers (whom I met at Ludlow in 2006 and thought was a good guy).
  11. Today is national autism awareness day. 1 in 32 kids have this particular disorder. If you know someone who’s touched by it, give them a call. They will appreciate it.
  12. Eminence is also an independent school district. Independent school districts are not private. If you live within the school district boundary, you can go to the school for free. If you don’t, you apply and pay tuition. Campbell County actually has three [Campbell has five] different independent school districts within the county. Kenton County has four. The ninth region has a plethora (3 Amigos) of private and independent schools.
  13. I'm not a fan of the Double-bonus after five fouls in each quarter. I might be in the minority though.
  14. I thought BCSD had open enrollment, but you may have to find your own ride to school if you chose to attend a high school outside your district. I could be wrong though.
  15. A principal should be fired because he left the basketball game early? BTW, it was pretty well established here that he stayed and took pictures from the sideline.
  16. Just when you have better players on your team, it can elevate your game. Better players pass the ball better. Better players beat their man off the dribble better. Better players see the floor better. When he has four other D-1 players on his team, the offense may not need to be dependent on him, which could in turn create more opportunities to score.
  17. That may get better when he has four other SEC Basketball players on the court with him though.
  18. I'm reminded of something Dr. Phil used to say "It doesn't matter how flat you make a pancake, it still has two sides."
  19. There were only five replies when you posted this. So the 80% really isn’t that big a deal.
  20. Maybe, but he is a northern Ky guy. Not sure if moving to Georgetown would be appealing. He's been at Cooper 17 years, prior to that I think he was on staff at Holmes maybe? If he was an assistant for 3 or 4 years, that probably means he's within 7 or 8 years of teacher retirement. That may play into it as well.
  21. Not gonna lie, I had to look it up.
  22. I was there as well. He had an opening dunk to break the school record and then just one more bucket and maybe a free throw by the end of the 2nd quarter.
