We have a regularly scheduled appointment with children’s hospital on Monday. I’ve recently been following a news story on the drug Leucovorin which has shown some encouraging results for individuals with autism that are nonverbal. I’m not a believer in wonder drugs and am trying not to get excited about this development, but it is occupying my thoughts. I’m going to bring it up Monday and see what the specialists say. If you would, say a little prayer for my son David and for our family.

I've seen Ryle play about 6 times this year. They have the ability to make shots against Cov Cath. Can they guard them? Can they handle the man to man pressure? We shall see. I also want to admit something. I am not a stake holder, but just a general basketball fan and may be even an aficionado. I did not think that Coach Dorning would be able to get Ryle to turn the corner. I was wrong. He has done an amazing job in just a couple of seasons. He doesn't know me and cares not what my opinion is, but I still want to say "hats off coach."

Wildcats are playing a little harder. They don’t have enough people who can score. #22 for them is pretty good.

Newport looks lost. The Raiders are not exactly sharp, but at least they’re playing hard. Newport’s effort just seems different to me.

They are definitely favored, but I would not underestimate the coaches that sit on that Dixie Heights bench. They’ve been around a while.

Was Coach Kirk the guy that was there a few years ago when there was some kind of drama with a couple of twin brothers from Bracken County?

Not surprised by this. He probably sealed his own fate when he took his team off the court before the game was over a few weeks ago.

Is it at all possible that they simply were not as great as we all thought they were? Although they did win 20 games and made it to the regional tournament.

I’m not sure what he’s referring to either, they probably expected to perform better though in the All A regional tournament. Still not quite sure where he was going with that.

Well, if that were the only alternative, then I guess you have a point. You have to try really hard to score 25 points with a running clock. Running offense and reversing the ball three times before you attempt a shot avoids it. Run the offense for 30 seconds before you shoot avoids it. Walk the ball up the floor avoids it. No three point attempts avoids it.

They scored 25 points in the 4th quarter with a running clock? Geesh, take the foot off the gas a little huh.

Where does Covington Latin play their home games? I think it is the only place in the 8th, 9th, or 10th region that I have never been.
