Incredible QB and athlete. With that said, hiring a 7 on 7 coach and QB trainer to be a head coach as his first actual coaching role is certainly a choice.

Well district 3 was going to be a 6 team district before Breckenridge requested to move to district 4. Also if CAL was still in 3A they'd probably be in district 3 and have a 6 team district anyway. There's a bunch of Louisville area 4A schools and a cluster of 6 northern kentucky 5A schools. Not sure what they're supposed to do about that. There's always 6 team districts in 4A I know for sure.

The ultimate goal for like 90% of high schools is winning a district championship. What's good for perennial title contenders is not what's good for the rest of high school football.

Lack of money in teaching/coaching+ lack of support from admin/parents + amount of time required = not even close to worth it to for most sane humans. Sad reality.

This is not some new upstart thing. Been happening for a couple years now with raving reviews. As @ChiefSmoke said, even more schools are adopting it.

So, 3 days of “full contact” is too much? Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday? When hardly anybody actually goes to the ground during practice? So you have 30/40 kids that don’t start varsity, they just shouldn’t get a game to play in? Yikes.

Good thing literally zero kids play three full football games a week. I don't understand what is so hard to understand about 6 minute quarters. Let's probably trust the judgement of some very experienced high school football coaches before we blast their practices as reckless and not safe for players, just a thought.

Are you aware that most schools have play a full JV schedule and a full Freshman schedule? So that’s a lot of kids playing in two full games and then sometimes garbage times on Friday nights? The rule is very clear. If the quarter is 6 minutes, it counts as 1/2 a quarter. Therefore, two full games with 6 minute quarters = 4 quarters of participation for that week. Regardless of what you think of the league (it’s great for the kids and great for development) it’s just simply within the rules.

Why would public school Raceland play up in 2A if they win 1A this year? There’s no “punishment” for winning. Your boys population gets a 1.35 multiplier if you’re a private school, that’s the only change.

Going from being the eastern-most school in district with 4 schools in Franklin county, to skipping over all of them and being in a district with spencer and the shelbys, incredible. More on topic, they are closer to every single school in the 6th district than they are to MOCO and Mad South in their current 7th. Also, closer to two schools in the 6th district (Anderson and Franklin) than ANY OTHER SCHOOL in their current 7th district.

Basketball/Baseball district goes all the way east to Spencer County, football district goes all the way west to MOCO and south to Mad South. Some very impressive finagling.

People are aware that Spencer's postseason was without Smith and Seawright, their starting backcourt, correct? North is on a whole other planet with Rondo, but with a whole year of starting experience and practice time for Spencer's probable backcourt next year, they can compete with anybody else in the region. Including Woodford.
