  1. Come Sep 26 SK will be 1-26 all time against Highlands. Next.
  2. Birds are 47-17 all time against Covington Catholic. Just shaking our little wings over here. Let's get real; coaching is very important but so is tradition and our kids leave it all on the field year in and year out. Good luck to the new leaders at Covington Catholic.
  3. Highlands has won 96.2% of the games against SK. I think that speaks volumes. But then I am not writing down a win; just planning on being there early and let it play out on the field.
  4. Brian Weinrich and Scott Turner- Highlands. Incredible work under intense pressure.
  5. Christopher Columbus plays Apokoa tonight for the Florida 8A title. Good luck to the Explorers!
  6. Incredible! Great win! Great adjustment on defense in the second half big shout out to the whole D!
  7. I will be there and for this one very special game will root like crazy for Dixie. Do us proud Colonels!
  8. Hopefully Coach W has the Bird's ready to fly. The Lexington Catholic first drive of the game was very well executed. Highlands responded very calmly and answered by putting up 28 straight and then did exactly what was needed to control the game and the clock. I think they are on a mission this year and will put up good numbers throughout the game. I've been around long enough to never take anything for granted.
  9. Be in Bowling Green Saturday morning!
  10. How many finals has Johnson Central played? Belfry? Answer is easily obtained from the response to these questions.
  11. Dixie is a team of destiny this year!
  12. I agree and I have been watching for 50 years!
  13. Right now we just need to focus on Lexington Catholic. 2015 can wait a bit.
  14. The Bird's got their last 1st down and then started taking knees once the clock was down far enough. Classy all the way. Don't try and make something out of nothing. Great credit to CC for not quitting. They gave us all we could handle.
  15. Just thankful to see the Birds hold on. Great win; terrific ball game....thought we were going to give them too many opportunities.
  16. One at a time! Go Bird's!!
  17. Warren Central will bounce back. They played uninspired against Highlands once the Bird's went up by 14.
  18. GO Indians! SK is gearing up for Dixie; they won't see you coming for their scalps!
  19. It is tough but the next man up works well when they are not new to the system and have spent time playing throughout the year even if only in limited playing time. I for one am really excited Highlands will being playing closer to home the next two years. Getting Simon Kenton on the schedule again is a plus if they maintain the level of play they have had recently and don't revert to time gone by. In 1998 the Bird's last visit to Independence SK played one of the better games all year against the Bird's. Nevels spent almost as much time in their backfield as the QB. Final was 28-12.
  20. It was good to see the Birds play with purpose. Sophomore Jared Pulsfort played really well which bodes good things from the RB position the next two years. Good to see Hergott back in the game. It amazes me that there were not more Warren Central fans at the game.
  21. As others have said....SK in front of Dixie is the story of a mythomaine!
  22. Wait until Covington Catholic plays Johnson Central on Nov 14th and then we will know if the ratings for them have any credence.
  23. I always enjoy going to Bowling Green. I am looking forward to this trip as well!
