IMO 5-4 Cov Cath is laughable being in top 10. 2-3 in last 5 with 2 wins against 2-16 record. Others deserve to be in that spot.

If you are going to put them in with that record, then Fairdale and Doss deserve it and they played a lot better non district schedule. Of course I don't agree with top 2 spots but everyone knows that. They will probably decide it for me come December but it wouldn't shock me if one or the other lost before then.

I think LC has a better win in beating Boyle than them. I also think Lafayette on the schedule helps LC argument in schedule strength

Owensboro - correct

JC - correct given 9-0 record

 

Next five - hard to slot. Lots of arguments for these teams as noted above. Interesting that Boyle gets a slight nod over LexCath given the head to head result.

 

The playoffs, especially the 2nd and 3rd rounds will sort this class out. Until then - lots of arguments for lots of teams.

I predict this pole will look very different in three or four weeks.

Wait until Covington Catholic plays Johnson Central on Nov 14th and then we will know if the ratings for them have any credence.

I think the Boyle win was nice, but I think Madisonville has MORE quality wins, and the fact they stayed with Owensboro, whereas LC was blown out by BG. Again, you can make an argument with LC being #4, but no way should Madisonville be #7, that's just people voting that have no idea what they are doing.

 

I also disagree with the Bryan Station comment - I think an Owensboro/Bryan Station game would be a good one. Lex Cath was also blown away by Bryan Station.
