  1. Hope he had a great healthy year and leads the Colonels to another title, but to win the award you need votes. It is a big hurdle to get past the lack of an AP voting media outlet up here.
  2. Need to block better and get the PAT FG off. The Colonels have some work to do.
  3. I miss the trips to Johnson Central. The early ones were brutal when they had JJ Jude. Then the Colonels took the upper hand. Always fun with the dueling bango’s
  4. Go Colonels. Sounds like a good start to 2018 is in the works.
  5. Greg Luke started his sophomore and junior year and put up some pretty impressive numbers for the 84 and 85 season. Anyone know where he sits all time?
  6. Hoping for nothing but success for Kes and the NDA basketball program. Kes was an assistant coach when my son played freshman ball at CCH. He was a good coach and a standup guy then and I would expect he still is. Time to get to work girls. Go Pandas!
  7. Thank you to all of the families that made up the Panda basketball program over the past four years. Going to miss our time together.
  8. For the girls on the floor for NDA at the end of the game, this was their last organized basketball game ever. Surely you can appreciate that and regarding getting some “valuable” experience, it would have been equal to their freshman and JV games. The underclassmen at NDA will be just fine with or without the “valuable” experience of playing the last few minutes of this game. Hats off to Dixie and good luck as you begin tournament play.
  9. Congratulations CC on the win. Good luck heading into post season.
  10. Why. So the best player in 1A according to the AP wins Mr. Football when that same player would not be THE MAN for many of the 4 and 5A schools and most if not all of the 6A schools. Best High School player in Kentucky should get THE Mr. Kentucky award. If Shawn Alexander had gone to Beechwood then Mr. Football that year should have come from 1A. If you want a trophy then put in the effort and add in a lot of talent plus a littl luck here and there means you earned it.
  11. I like Johnson Central in the same Cov Cath class. No way Highlands should not want to play up in 5A. CCH and HHS need to have a path to meet in the playoffs. Anything without this is just plain wrong.
  12. Wish she had been healthy for the NDA game. Have been watching her for the past four years. Great player and glad to hear she is getting close. Best of luck to her in this season and all that follow in college.
  13. I just watched Rondale’s Hudl clips. Nice speed and quickness. Great effort by his fellow receivers maintaining blocks downfield and the offensive play calling putting him into position to go one on one against linebackers resulted in some really nice plays. Rondale is an outstanding player and probably the best receiver in the state, but I am however sticking with A.J. for Mr. Football.
  14. No doubt there are many deserving of consideration, but I will stay loyal to my team (just like many AP writers). Hands down the best player I saw all year is A.J. He gets my vote.
  15. In the Cov Cath Highlands game, Highlands lined up 4th and less than five and punted the ball away. Returner caught the ball clean and was tackled. CCH called for a penalty (not offsides or 12 men on field). Ball was returned to original LOS and advanced 5 yards. Highlands ball 1st and 10. Does anyone know what the call was? I don't recall ever seeing a call like that before.
  16. Hoping for good news for the player from Dixie that went out early with a knee injury.
  17. The Colonels have a well balanced attack offensively and defense have played well against some very good teams lately. But the tough games start now and Fern Creek will win if we don't show up ready and make plays. Go Colonels.
  18. Way to go Colonels. Time to get ready for Doss. Stay focused and keep playing with intensity. Go Colonels!!!!
  19. Hope for nothing but the best for Wyatt. Thank you for all you did for NDA. Good luck at OC.
  20. She is a difference maker wherever she plays. 100% effort ALL of the time. Very quick and fast, tenacious defender, high basketball IQ. Wish her the best. I will be rooting for her every game and for her team if they win the region and are representing the ninth at state.
  21. Congrats. Went on a campus visit to the school with her dad back in the day. Crazy ice storm that day. It's been a long time since I've been back but while I was there it was a great campus and the education was top notch as well. She played extremely well in the game I saw this year. Good luck as a Panther.
  22. Ok. Hard to imagine Moss, SEC freshman of the year and two time NCAA division 3 National Champion (undefeated two years in a row.) I am a 9th region fan all the way. Have not seen every great player from around the state, but those three are on my list. Who are your top five?
