Saturday Dec. 13 @ 2pm Columbus and Apopka square off for the "big school" 8A title in Orlando Florida.Obviously these teams rank number one and two in their 8A class with Apopka being number one. Apopka comes into this game with a 7-4 record with a 5 game winning streak. Apopka has 148 players on their roster. Apopka is PF 596 and PA 288, and a better SOS than Columbus. Apopka is ranked number 5 in the state. Go Explorers!!

Apopka is 10-4, not 7-4. Also, since CC beat HHS 38-34, it has played 8 games. It is 8-0 in those games and has outscored its opponents 253-28. That's right. It has given up ONLY 28 points in its last 8 games and has pitched 4 shutouts. That defense has really put it together since giving up 34 at HHS...

I would imagine the last picture of AllenR post must have been when Beau went down in the first series of that game and "The Doctor" must have slipped and said the injury didn't look good :thumb:

I found a lot more pictures of Highlands on the Columbus website. Plenty of coverage on YOU TUBE, interviews on the coach and QB after last weeks win. Plenty of film clips to go with it.

Not sure the total numbers but they brought 53 Seniors to Ft Thomas this past year. It was very impressive.
