  1. I get that you and others feel that way, but I don't and there are others that don't. I don't understand judging people and what they want to do with their money and time. I wouldn't pay a nickel for a fishng rod or hunting equipment. I just do not enjoy them, but am ok with those that do. Same with NASCAR, I just wouldn't go if you gave me front row seats at the finish line to the Daytona 500. But I think it's great that people have the passion to do so. Again, I get why you or any fan get frustrated and move on from them. I just don't move on. I just enjoy it too much
  2. Why hilarious? Just because you wouldn't. I get why anybody wouldn't, but I also see why people would. Entertainmant dollars are discretionary.
  3. I believe Marvin will be the coach as long as he wants. So until he is officially gone, I will say Marvin.
  4. I wish I could help you get over your thoughts on AD (not really, I just don't care). If you think Driskell is better or will be better than AD, I can't help nor convince you. Further if you think that getting a QB better than AD the next two years is also probably wrong. We will have AD for at least the next two years and probably 4-5 after that. This team does not need QB. They need linebackers that can run sideline to sideline, tackle, and cover. They need upgrades on the o-line and TE. All of those before a QB at a minimum. We are going to be a mid range at worst draft for the next several years with AD and AJ (if healthy). They will sign Boyd I believe as their next keeper. They will extend AD because Mike won't have a coach that doesn't support AD. If you don't believe that, you haven't been paying attention for the last 30 years. I think the defense will be fine with the right coach and upgrades at LB. They obviously are not a sit in the zone, come up and make the tackle (they can't tackle well) and have teams nickel and dime down the field. Their corners are man to man corners, Bates has been a great find at safety and their line looks to have youth to rotate the DL. They are a 6-10 win team for the next few years and trending to the 6 rather than the 10. Injuries were devastating this year, but that is no excuse. You have to have depth to hang in there. But an avrerage team generally does not have that depth. I look at the Chargers this year, Rivers is better than AD, but not miles. They have stayed relatively healthy, gotten referreeing bad calls in their favor to win two games they should have lost, get their few injured players back at the right time. Play teams, like the Bengals without their starting QB. The cards are just being dealt their way. They are a top 5-6 team right now, and karma seems to be leaning their way. It would not surprise me if they win it all. That could happen to the Bengals or any team every year and usually does. Maybe the Bengals will get that, with our ownership/management that is what I hope for. Because Brown will be Brown and the Bengals will be the Bengals. I just am waiting for the positive karma.
  5. I agree, the only advantage Driskell would have had over AD today were the two first down runs AD can run, but not like Driskell especially the last one. AD makes most throws Driskell missed.
  6. I really believe besides Campbell County and probably GRC, there are about 8 teams who could beat each other depending on the night. I do believe Campbell County will take the region pretty convincingly if they remain healthy.
  7. Today's game was another solid defensive performance against a very poor offense. I like ML being aggressive. For the first time I felt the Bengals got some positive calls from the refs. Mixon was really good and playing man with big pass rush worked again. This defense is not built to keep the ball in front of them and tackle. Simple as that. I do believe ML's presence with the defense has helped. Still they beat handily the worst team in the league IMO.
  8. I saw that, but they need to take the best LB or OT in the draft. They will be fine with AD and Driskell next year.
  9. Driskell is not the answer. He wasn't close to anything deep or sideline outs. He has no touch. Big arm and can throw it through a wall. I love his grit and athleticism, though. I did not mind his only pick because they needed to show they will throw deep. AD should and will be their QB next year., It really should be no debate. However, I know your feelings on AD, so I understand (don't agree) with your thoughts. AD has not been the problem the last two years.
  10. I have no idea why people would be shocked. Mason County should beat them and did. They are deeper and have played a much tougher schedule. This is not a knock on RC, just the way the enrollment difference makes. Robertson County has a nice team and will win more than they lose.
  11. He probably needs to. I would say he is 2nd-3rd round pick, due to the value of the position and his needing to show more.
  12. Who do you think, using the eye test, was the best team you saw?
  13. ...and supplemental positions are year to year only. There is no tenure nor long term contract in Kentucky public schools.
  14. Looks like he is headed for #2. It will be interesting to see if he can get the top. Possible, but it would be a feat.
  15. North Oldham lost to Ballard by 2. This is a reaaly big surprise. Good for the Raiders.
  16. In high school, that one player can take you a long way. PC is a regional contender on that alone. Not sure Dontaie can be stopped, maybe slowed a little, not stopped. Funny, I was talking to someone today and we were talking about this game and we both felt that Allen would be the difference. What do you do? Give him his 50 or just be physical and rotate as many athletes as you have on him. Looks like him getting 50 isn't the answer, the rest put up numbers, also. I would not want to play PC come tourney time. Looks like they can be very very tough.
  17. Man, I have never heard of Northwest Kentucky. That is hard to envision with the physical composition of the commonwealth. And I have a lot of family that live there. Guess I missed the conversations growing up.
  18. I know to always pick the other team that you pick. You are a legend in the prediction arena!
