Is there any chance there will be a running clock in the Highlands/CovCath game?

Featured Replies

Obviously the first game was much closer than most of us expected.

I think the Tea Leaves are the opposite of what they were in the regular season match-up.

I do think there is a small chance this game could end in a running clock. If CovCath gets up early and Highlands has to press look out.

How about you? Do you think there is any chance there will be a running clock in this game?

Only if Highlands is forced to press and they start turning the ball over.

Keep this stuff coming. I hope Birds defense gets wind of this running clock talk.

Nope.

Nonsense. Birds are healthy and hungry.

I heard Cov Cath is unveiling a Regional Championship 2018 banner at halftime.

There was a strip for 6 by CCH taken away by the refs in the first game. There were penalties and flat out missed tackles that allowed drives to continue.

So, add the TD to CCH and take away the HHS score on that drive and it’s 21 point margin. Take a some slips and missed backfield tackles in the rain and it could have been close to that in the first game.

That said, anything can happen. There is enough speed on both sides that one play can change the game.

I understand what you are saying, however you completely discounted that fact that CovCath benefitted from short fields on at least two occasions did they not?

I look for a competitive game no matter what. I think that Highlands might be a little under-rated in this game and that CovCath might be a little over-rated. Good luck to both teams and let the best team win and hopefully go on and win another state title for the Northern Kentucky area.

I think the Birds have their work cut out for them but I don’t see a running clock.

Expecting Friday night to be a very good game.

I don't think Highlands will win by that much.

If Highlands jumps up fast. A running clock is not out of the question.
