In my humble opinion Nortwest Kentucky is Boone County.

Great Crossing, Scott County, Fredrick Douglas...all in 5A with CovCath, Highlands, Bowling Green, etc, etc. Ouch.

Who, what and where is Great Crossing?

And with the success Campbell County is having along with their increasing academic scores, the standouts have choices

I’m guess it can happen from time to time especially if that student has an opportunity to really stand out and possibly gain scholarship opportunities. I would think baseball would be another sport where this may happen. But not on a consistent enough basis to make a difference for that program.

Trying to be delicate...no parent is going to allow their kid to transfer to a school who’s academic numbers and graduation rates are lower to play football.

Not trying to be cruel or anything but Dayton isn’t exactly the type of school or program that is going to pull anyone from anywhere. Most Single A schools are like that though. You play the kids who live in your area. Dayton, Bellevue, and a few others are up and coming but they are not Beechwood.

That is an impressive list and some good company to be in.

But to be fair...this is a pretty good streak.

Right now CovCath is on a streak. String together a few more streaks and then you have a traditional powerhouse. Be a traditional powerhouse for a few years and you become a dynasty.

You can’t really look at this on a team to team basis. You would have to break it down position by position if the teams would be combined. Look at QBs in Kenton County alone. You have a few guys that can flat out play but they all can’t play at the same time.

With the changes coming to 5A next year and the fact it looks like CovCath is just going to reload instead of rebuilding...will be an interesting thread once it gets started.

It won’t grow back if it isn’t watered. Where did you guys learn about exterior irrigation techniques?

They ran out of hot chocolate on the visitors side of the field way too early.

Very early in the 4th. Made the game and cold a lot easier to handle.

Next year there are some big shoes to fill but CovCath has some monster contributors coming back.

Young man stepped up big last night. Any first game jitters that may have been there were gone after about 3 minutes into the game. CovCath is the real deal. Good Luck moving forward.

CovCath was the much better team tonight. Poor play calling doesn’t help but not sure it would have mattered much. But I stand by what I said about this years teams and last years teams. Last years CovCath team would have won by 60 plus. Impressive performance. Thought Birds would keep them in the game but turns out CovCath defense was better.

Two times 4th and 1 and they run a play starting 5 yards deep. Cramer is over 6 foot get under center and fall forward!

This may have been covered already but any chance of a sellout?
