I’ve been watching Highlands al year and I have no idea what to expect. At least with the offense. Defense, special teams have been consistent. -

Defense wins championships and Highlands has that going for them. If they limit big plays and come up with a few takeaways I think they pull it out. Same as before, the lower the score the better their chances. -

I agree. It was a joke, I meant no disrespect. Anderson had a great season and sounds like a lot of their skill players will be back. Good luck next year. -

“Birds would have won by 40 on turf” sorry could not resist with all the slop talk. Great season AC. Good job closing it out Birds, defense was the difference...again! -

Are they playing defense or making them play with blindfolds on or something? -

The GRC game was on the YouTube channel for Central Kentucky Sports. Not sure if that is a live feed. -

Something else we can blame on the poor field conditions. -

How bad can the field actually be? Muddy is one thing but people are making this out to be a huge deal. “Playing in a pigsty tonight, try not to trip over the littleins”. It’s football. You play in the mud you play in the rain. At least you may be able to plant and try and cut on a wet grass field. Try that at full speed on a turf field that has just a little rain and not a down pour and hold on. -

You can practice falling down in the mud but all that does is make you look more graceful while falling down. -

Watched the GRC game on YouTube. Two back set, a lot of counters to the short side of the field, like the option (qb and both backs can flat out run). They also did a fair amount of jet sweeps trying to spread the field. What little they did throw was trips to the wide side quick pass out in space. Sounded like they play a lot of guys both ways. -

Not to mention not keeping contain on jet sweep against CovCath. Helped sustain more than one drive for them when they should have gone three and out. -

Confident in a win just not sure it will be a “cake walk”. A win by Anderson and a chance at CovCath would be the “icing” on their season but I think the birds have too many “layers”. I think the Birds defense is the difference. -

Can’t overlook a team putting up an average of 40 points a game, most of those on the ground. Their offensive line has to be doing something right. Their defense does not like to give up a lot of points either. They may not have played a team like Highlands yet but that doesn’t mean they can’t. -

Birds hang a running clock on MS, head off next week to play and undefeated Anderson County and the main topic of conversation is “disliking the dislike”. I love this forum....you guys make my day every day! Go Birds! -

One game at a time. Anderson County comes first, CovCath will just have to wait their turn. -
