The Northwest KY football conference had their inaugural All-Conference team recognition on Monday night hosted by Owensboro High School:

 

Owensboro Catholic - Drew Hartz, Noah Todd, Vonn Williams, Nick Mills

Grayson County - Noah Bullock, Ethan Cates, QDaryius McHenry, Derrick Ruth

Daviess County - Marquel Tinsley, Joey Cambron, Landon Newman

McLean County - Peyton Carroway, Nikolas Dela Cruz, Andrew Munster, Dalton Eubanks

Hancock County - Darian Clay, Spencer Harpenau, Devin Taylor

Muhlenberg County - Cameron Everly, Joseph Grubbs

Apollo - Gage Hayden, Mario McKenzie, Quinton Miller

Owensboro - Trevon Green, Will Warren, Dartanyan Tinsley, Qualon Tinsley

Ohio County - Benjamin Wood

Henderson County - Skip Patterson, Ian Pitt, Isaiah Fallen

Rule #13 - Capitalization

Man, I have never heard of Northwest Kentucky. That is hard to envision with the physical composition of the commonwealth. And I have a lot of family that live there. Guess I missed the conversations growing up.

In my humble opinion Nortwest Kentucky is Boone County.

@wkyhollywood ...is this an all-star team voted on by coaches in the conference? Obviously there are quite a few of us who are unfamiliar with the conference, especially with this being their inaugural all-conferece team. Are there any schools in that conference other than Owensboro Catholic, Grayson County, Daviess County, McLean County, Hancock County, Muhlenberg County, Apollo, Owensboro, Ohio County, and Henderson County?

okie1 is correct, previously was called the big 8 conference. This years president of the conference was the coach from Henderson county and he said they are looking to add schools in the future. This looks to be an attempt to get some recognition to the kids from these schools who are overlooked by the rest of the state, which is a good thing. I think the schools in the western end of the state also have a "conference".
