  1. Really looking forward to going down. I've never been to Boyle but anticipating a great atmosphere for a very good game.
  2. Elder will be bigger, faster, stronger, and more skilled at every position. Elder will be up at least 28-0 at half.
  3. Does a win at Boyle put HHS in the #1 spot? I think it might unless SC or FD blow out the other.
  4. He's a Junior RB, but has a nagging injury and has only played about 7 or 8 snaps this year. They have played all year without him so no change to the game plan, but when he comes back, he's a difference maker for sure and capable of taking it to the house every carry.
  5. No clue who wins this one, but it's going to be close. I'd say 21-14. I'm pulling for the Birds, but it could go either way. I wouldn't count on Buten. I think they'll give him another week and have him ready for district play.
  6. Boyle will not score more than 28 against HHS D. The question will be, can the Birds move the ball against Boyle.
  7. Ryle was sending 7 guys and playing man on WRs with no help over the top most of the night... HHS had 5 on the line and single back... Was it the players or the play calling that didn’t show up? Seems like a bad scheme to me.
  8. Buten DNP and 4 score win. I’ll take it. England as I said, wouldn’t be a factor. Maybe 30 yards???
  9. If Ryle has as good of a pass D as you say (and I'll take your word for it). I'm really looking forward to seeing how they defend the HHS offense and the 5-6 receivers who will get the ball. Who are some of the guys we should keep our eye on from the Ryle D?
  10. I was just stating what he ACTUALLY did last year. It wouldn't surprise me if England ended with about 50-70 yards and maybe a score (2 at most). If that means "shut down", I guess is up for each person to interpret. Those numbers are a pretty good game for some, I just don't think that's enough to carry a team to victory. I can tell you this, 14 points isn't going to beat HHS.
  11. I think he had about 20 yards against HHS last year. And he’ll be facing a tougher D this year.
  12. It doesn't really matter how you stack these. I could see any of the top 7-8 beating each other on a given night.
  13. I would be absolutely shocked if Ryle scores more than 14. I also can't see HHS scoring less than 28. If Buten plays, I say 35-14. If he doesn't play, 28-14. Ryle has a nice back in England, and he'll get some chunks of yards from time to time, but would be shocked if he is getting those yards in the second half. I think he's a similar quality back to Hammack at SK. Hammack had some nice runs, but ended up with 60 yards on 30 carries. The Birds D is very aggressive and with that, comes some blown plays due to over pursuit or going for a strip. But the D makes GREAT adjustments and then really start dominating the 2nd half. Going to be a good game and a great atmosphere in Fort Thomas.
  14. Still limiting his reps and letting him heal a nagging injury. A great showing from Brune to put the running game on his shoulders though.
  15. Nice game for the Birds. D looked to get faster as the night went on and just wore SK down in the 2nd half. Buten did not play but Brune has some really nice runs to seal the game in the 2nd half. Plenty of bright spots, and plenty to work on. I was really impressed with the SK quarterback. I would have NEVER guessed he’s a freshman. The kid has a bright future.
  16. SK will be bigger on both lines. HHS will run circles around them athletically though.
