What is also hurting them is that they arent getting much production from anyone other than Omar! -

Over the course of the past several years the tenth has been pretty good overall, this year, yes, VERY WEAK. However, is Montgomery the cream of the crop for years to come or can someone challenge them? -
Top 10 10th Region players
Touch The Line replied to NKYThreeFer's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
IMO the best player in the region is the Prewitt kid from Montgomery. Night in and night out you have to game plan around him yet the kid still produces (20+ points and 11 rbds a game). I have not seen everyone on this top ten list, but I have seen several and I have been VERY impressed by Fatkins from Clark and Ford from Harrison. -
Montgomery County has gone undefeated this year inside regional play with 2 big wins over Clark already, does anyone in the region have a chance to knock them off? If not, with this team still being primarily underclassman (one senior), do they stand a chance to make another run of multiple trips to the state tournament?

Should we give the assist to Scott County on this one for wearing down the YellowJackets? -

Prewitt went 5/5 from the 3pt line in the first quarter alone, finished with 8 threes all together. Bourbon had no answer for Prewitt, even with a Box and 1. Bourbon was able to cut the lead down to about 10 when Montgomery took several starters out of the game in the 3rd, opened it back up soon after. MC did a great job of breaking the press and shooting a lot of layups. Good game going into Fridays matchup! -

I think the key to the game will be Montgomery's ability to keep Fatkins contained. Huge game and expecting a very large crowd, might want to get there early for a seat! Montgomery by 8. -

Difficult to say becuase it is not known how healthy he really is. When Johnson comes back it is going to take more time to get back into playing shape and that knee will not be at full strength. Even without Johnson, Woodford has a good team and can make noise in the region with or without him. They have played all region games very competitive! -

IMO the key is going to be Jake Handshoe, as he will have to step up and start playing with some leadership and makingbetter selections on the floor (passes and shots). I think he was out during Christmas for illness?????, and has not been starting the past several games, I guess he is still working his way back into the lineup. Prewitt and playing up to expectations and the guard play has really be coming around (especially the Fruth kid). Big game tonight against Pendleton, big measuring stick for where the Indians are at, especially since PC has had the Indians number the past few games. -

Would be great to see a rematch in the regional championship/semi's/quarters with a full go Woodford team. Impressive for Woodford to play that close missing their best player! -

I think after the performance they gave against Bourbon, I feel that Coach Wise will not allow that to happen again, I like Montgomery by 20+ -

Very tough game to watch. Thought both teams looked very flat and did not play with much energy or emotion, especially Montgomery. Way too many turnovers and most of which were not even caused by the defense, lazy passes, throwing into the hands of the defense, traveling calls, etc. Both teams will struggle if they continue to play like that. -

Its a shame that this had to happen. He has enough talent to get his education paid for at the next level, I just hope this is where the trouble ends and nothing more happens with him. -

Agree with what you say, there has never been a game that either team "wasnt even supposed to be in". Even those years when Clark was loaded with talent, the games for the most part were close until the end. As far as the excitement goes, I know with all the changes going on over at MCHS and new things happening, the kids have been looking for something to get excited about, and this was just an opportunity to be excited about something over in Mt. Sterling. Big game, big rivalry, great atmosphere. On a positive note, I thought both student sections were clean and represented their schools respectfully, usually not the case when these two teams meet in any sport. -

Woodford showing that they can play without Johnson. I think after this game and as much as Woodford has improved without thier stud, I like Woodford in this district and I look for them to make a nice run at regions! -

This was possibly the first of what could be 4 games these two teams play (one more regular season, hopefully district championship game, and hopefully regional championship game). Both teams will need someone to step up and score more. I think as the season progresses, the Indians will improve drastically as they are still learning and adjusting to the new system and style of play. When that happens I think you will see that 3rd scorer step up. IMO I think it will be Jones. -

This would be a very interesting game if Jacobs plays for Paris and Gillispie plays for Bourbon. With both teams full strength, I really like Paris, look at how they have played with Jacobs in the game. Hopefully the next time they play both are back, just doesnt make that game the same when teams arent full go.
