IMO that last play should have been a no call. The Trinity player had position on the inside, you have to let that go. Ref put the game in his own hands rather than letting the players decide. Also, how much time was on the clock when Central shot those last free throws? From what I understand there was .1 seconds left, shouldnt there have been a T on Central for coming onto the floor (just wondering?)

From 64 get off on the Mt. Sterling/Flemingsburg exit-turn right off the exit. At the second light (Indian Mound Drive/Bypass), turn right. Go about 2 miles (you will pass Wal-Mart, Krogers, Bigg Lotts) until you reach Route 11 (Levee Road I think), turn left at that light. Turn right onto Woodford Dr. Once you get to the bypass, you will be able to see the gym from the road.

Young nerves and inexperience at the varsity level come in to play perhaps. Even after the time out, they still have time to get the ball to Hatton, they just did not pass them the ball. During the late part of the game Woodford missed a lot of Free Throws that could have gave them the lead earlier, luckily they pulled out the win. In regards to Hatton, great player, but does the kid ever stop talking? I know Coach Roddy yelled at him once during the game while he was at the free throw line to "shut up", didnt help.

Hatton was great again tonight, very surprised he didnt take the last shot tonight! Hopefully Johnson's knee continues to get stronger, as his knee strengthens, Woodford only gets better. Would love to see Woodford get another shot at Scott County tomorrow night.

Im sure Hundley spent yesterday game planning to stop/slow down Hatton, if someone can figure out how to do it, Hundley can (being a former high scoring machine he was, although he did it Kobe style : ) Woodford by 7.

Woodford and Dixie get together tonight at Scott County in the Semi-Finals of the Toyota Classic. Each team contains of the top players in the state in their respective classes. Hatton is coming off a stud performance and Jay Johnson has still be dominant (even on 1 leg). Should be an interesting and exciting game. Thoughts and predictions?

Im going to go with Bullet East by 15. Dont think Rowan has enough size to match up with Willis!

You're right, he was one of the beneficiaries to many of those easy layups at the back of the press and off the steals!

Unfortunately we do. Can think of many coaches, regardless of how good they are, keep their jobs if they dont win.

Exciting day of basketball, but I like the Indians 74-60!

There was a previous post stating that none of the Lloyd players went after the rebound since the ref stated that it was a 2 shot foul!

Hatton was a stud in the 2nd half, offensively no one else showed up for Dixie except him, but people have off nights. I thought that Lafayette's press in the 2nd half really hurt themselves. Dixie continuously shot layup after layup and open jump shot after another at the end of the press and yet Lafayette stayed in the press and lost their lead. Dixie's full court pressure in the 2nd half gave the Generals fits and they created lots of easy shots for themselves. Davis' 4th foul was huge, had he not had to sit out, I think Lafayette still wins. Not sure who else was there, but IMO I thought a huge call was the 5 second inbounds call on Lafayette made right before Dixie took the lead at the end of the game, seemed like a rather quick 5 seconds. Also, where was Coach Chevelier tonight?

Good but sloppy win for Woodford. Played really well for about 2 minutes and came out with a win.

Montgomery County has an excellent chance to represent the 10th region in March! Their losses have only been to top 20 teams, they've had some very impressive wins (GRC, Marshall Co, Owen Co., Ashland, Male, Lafayette, etc.). They have a great group of guys with a lot of varsity experience; 5 guards who are all capable of scoring in double figures many nights (Prewitt-top, Fruth, Handshoe, Crisp, and Jones); athleticism; quickness; a very-experienced, cool, calm and collected point guard (Fruth, sr.), another experienced point guard (Crisp, soph.); all 5 guys can handle the ball under pressure. Defense is good, but still room for improvement. Down low, you have football player, Kelly or baseball player Combs who give the team another dimension. They played Central to within 10 pts. the first time; this time pulled within 3 in the 3rd quarter, but couldn't get over the hump. The difference was in single digits much of the game. Also of note, the Regional Tourn. is at Home this year! Exciting year for the Indians, they just need to play as a team so they can click on all cylinders. These two guys, if they can at least be a physical presence down low, have a great chance of winning the 10th. They need more production from the post position.

Im sure this wasnt that game that Hundley would have liked his guys to play going into the Toyota Classic, however, this could have been a game they overlooked with the big games coming up this week. A win is a win!

Odds are against you when you play 5 on 3. Fruth continues to impress me, I think he has possibly could be one of the most improved players in the region?????

I think more people will disagree with this statement than they would agree. Dominique has proven on the high school and AAU level to be a dominant player at multiple positions. He is probably one of the top 5 juniors in the state and a possible Mr. Basketball candidate next year. I think the height issue is why most people feel he would be a low level D1 or mid-major player. However, we also must realize that he is only a junior and will only get better as he progresses.

With this game being played at Central, I have to go with the home team by 12, too much speed and quickness on Central's side.

Jacobs from Paris, when he is eligible, is a very good talent, not very many better than him in the region. However, his ability to stay on the floor is hurting him.
