17 called on Montgomery and 18 on GRC. The turning point was when Stenzel and Prewitt had double technicals called on them. Because technicals count also as personal fouls it was only 3 for Stenzel, but it was Prewitt's 4th foul.

As you can see both teams shot terrible. Give credit to both teams for the defensive effort. It was a ugly win, but we will take it. Not sure on the foul count, but I would say GRC was called for more. Fatkin had 2 in the 2nd quarter and had to sit and Roberts had 3 fouls. Believe Vancleeve, Fatkin, and Bopper all ended with 4 fouls on them. Will have to ask Mcraycraft of the fouls on MC.

 

So very nice to take to Mr. Prewitt after the game tonight. Look forard to coming to MC next weekend to watch some great B-Ball.

If there is a game ball to be given out, it should go to Charlie Rogers. He played tough defense on Prewitt and got to the basket early in the game and was a huge advantage.

 

While I think GRC still would have won by double digits(as I called out in prediction thread) - nothing can underscore the double technical with 4 min (roughly) to go in 3rd. That forced MC to sit Prewitt, and in my opinion; took him out of the rest of the game. Also I might add that the double technical was well warranted on both players.

 

And as always Goldie - it was great to see you. Hope to meet mcraycraft next time these two teams play.

That slam by Jones was awesome. I think he is only a Soph? He is going to be fun to watch in the coming years. Howard did get a lot of loose balls and I think Fatkin came back to get a lot of Rebs after being out so long in the first half.

 

If Prewitt didnt get the 4th foul - I don't think the outcome would have changed much.

Both physically and mentally. I just could not believe the technicals. I thought both players had done there thing and had actually walked away before the T was called.

This game should be a character builder for the Indians.
