I was told Madison Central went on a 7-2 run to end the game and that Trent Edginton for Lincoln County was on fire.

1) Lincoln County is really beginning to play well. They are the district favorite and could shock some teams in the region.

 

2) Madison Central was already thinking about tomorrow night's game with Trinity.

Wow. I saw Lincoln County in the AIT and wasn't very impressed. Sounds like they're improving though.

You are right...one of their starters, who will remain unnamed, told my son that they weren't worried about this game and that the coach was gonna sit the starters after halftime and just play the bench! :idunno:

They are. They've got a couple young kids that have taken some time to grow into their roles (part of that due to illness), but everything really seems to be clicking for them. And they have what I believe is the best coach in the 12th Region in Jeff Jackson. Everyone around here knows that while Lincoln may not win the region every year, they always are a serious challenger.

Another example of how Central was looking ahead: The Indians have scored 60 or more points in every game this season but one (56-49 over Clark County, Dec. 6). They average 75 points per game. Scoring 50 at Lincoln makes me believe they weren't entirely focused.

Lincoln played 6 players- 2 freshmen, 2 juniors, and 2 seniors. Central played 10 or 12.......It was the perfect storm for Lincoln but the winds shifted. Edgington is a very good point guard. What he doesn't do is get you beat. He handles the ball well, controls the flow of the game, and always has his head up looking for the open man. I'm surprised at his scoring output tonight, not because he can't do it, but he always seems more interested in getting everyone else involved before he gets his own. He is a very nice ball player.

You are dead-on about Trent. But he needs to score if Lincoln goes very far in tourney. I like the way he wants the ball at end of game. Trent or his brother Trevor have been Lincoln's starting pt guard for the last 7 yrs. This season Trent is being ask to score more . he is the go-to guy for Lincoln

No. 6 Madison Central remained the only undefeated school in Kentucky, but it wasn't easy. Lincoln County led by six with two minutes left, and the Indians needed Kenjah Bosley's game-winning three-pointer with 40 seconds left to prevail 50-49 on the road.
