Taylor County 30 Marion County 8
Hardly. Marion County is going through a lot right now. Their coach is very sick and they currently have an interim coach. Taylor County lost to Marion County last year by one score I believe. They were going to win this game regardless of who the coach was. Best of luck the rest of the season to Marion County and their players and coaches.

Ryle 48 Boone County 13
It won't matter. There is a serious overall talent drought in Florence. No coach in the country can change that.

Ft Knox forfeits to DeSales
Why is it fair to the Fort Knox kids to travel to Louisville and get blasted by such a superior opponent. Now we're talking serious injury issues because you know all 12 of those guys should not be on the field with a team the caliber of Desales. The Fort Knox admin could have probably called a day or two sooner but they probably wanted to see who would show up. I would think they made every effort to be able to come but physically could not make it happen. Why can't we just realize situations like this happen at smaller schools instead of pointing the finger and blaming others when we don't truly know all the facts behind the decision that was made.

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
Boone also played against better competition. They were a 6A team when there were only four classes, while Madison Southern is a 4 or 5A team in watered down 6A.

Will HHS - Campbell County become a bigger rivalry than HHS - Cov Cath?
I think the score of the Campbell County game had more to do with when it was played than anything else. If they played next week I think it wouldn't be nearly as close.

The Old School Beechwood Natives are restless...
Freshman football is meaningless. Being good as a freshman can actually be a detriment to a kid. You can get by on that level on talent alone. Varsity football isn't that way. You have to be more detail oriented and be able to take coaching. That's a tough adjustment for some kids. Also, some kids mature faster. Those great freshman teams could have matured earlier. There are a lot of reasons why freshman success doesn't translate. It's not always coaching. Sometimes kids that have always been more athletic have a hard time adjusting to having to be detail oriented to maintain their success.

Dudley Hilton to Taylor County
Once Dudley Hilton gets a look at the players at Taylor County and a taste of the community support he will head back to Eastern Kentucky. I will be shocked if he's there past this season. The only way he stays is if the extra money is just too good to pass up.

Frankfort by 3 TD's. To many athletes for Lincoln County to keep up with.

Can you share some details for those that didn't get to listen?

Did KHSAA ever do anything to anyone about illegal preseason activities?
The coaches rules clinic explicitly stated that those camps aren't legal and never have been.

Boone County Rebels Football 2014 Football Preview
A lot of athletes play QB and get offers. Most offers come from camps anyway. There are no offers because there is no interest, not because he wasn't allowed to showcase his athleticism at QB.

Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
I hate to be the bearer of bad news for some, but there is nothing D1 about Aaron Floyd. He's an NAIA player and there is nothing wrong with that. If you're a D1 caliber athlete it will show no matter where you are. He's not that tall, fast or physical to be a D1 safety. But he's a great kid that followed some terrible advise. Just because he was great in youth leave doesn't mean it will translate to high school success. Aaron peaked early and really needs to cross his fingers that Boone's coach will have him back.

Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
It takes about two weeks to go through all the required practices for heat acclamation before you can play. So it looks like he's going to be out at least the first two games if not more.
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
I'm pretty sure it for the heat acclimation of the individual.
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
I think so. You have to go through it to be able to play is the way I read the rule.
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
If you read further down it also says you must have 5 contact practices before you can play. So whenever Aaron gets ruled eligible (assuming he does) he would have to participate in 3 practices in helmet only, three in helmet and shoulder pads, and 5 in full gear. That's 11 days of practice. When is Cov Cath's first game?
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
That will push it for him to play week 1. I don't know the specifics, but isn't there an acclimation period for helmets and pads of between 8-10 days?

Ryle 2014 - What are the expectations?
I would stop listening to any fan that predicted their school would beat a rival by 50.

KY Preseason top 10
I'd say #10 was supposed to be Madison Southern based on the Harris kids high ranking.
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
It's, not it. Darn fat fingers.
-
Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
He's not 6' tall and runs nowhere near a 4.5 40. I'd be shocked if it below 4.7.
