I saw that the Fort Knox AD said they only had 12 players for tonight's game. Some had left on fall break.

This is astounding to me. How can a parent let a kid sign up to commit to a schedule that hasn't changed in years and then tell their kid they can go on fall break and miss a game?

Agreed. Move some kids up from JV next week, whatever. Kids on fall break should miss at least one more game.

There will be a fine. But honestly the taxpayers will be the one paying it. Tonight was supposed to be homecoming also. Bush league move by FT Knox. Glad they are moving down to 1A next year.

Hell, I can remember having practices and games/tourneys during "Christmas Break" as it was called then. I signed up to play basketball, I would never not show or go to my coach and tell him I wanted two weeks off because of Christmas. He'd have give me the rest of the season off.

Once you forfeit for something like this your season should be over. This is ridiculous and unfair to Desales. They knew this at the beginning of the year that fall break was going to occur during this game and for them to up and forfeit the week of the game is a joke.
