Why is it fair to the Fort Knox kids to travel to Louisville and get blasted by such a superior opponent. Now we're talking serious injury issues because you know all 12 of those guys should not be on the field with a team the caliber of Desales. The Fort Knox admin could have probably called a day or two sooner but they probably wanted to see who would show up. I would think they made every effort to be able to come but physically could not make it happen.

 

Why can't we just realize situations like this happen at smaller schools instead of pointing the finger and blaming others when we don't truly know all the facts behind the decision that was made.

That's an overreaction IMO. If this was another school that didn't have the turnover that Ft Knox has, I may agree but not in this case.

Look. I'm 100% for not playing if you only have 12. I'm saying that had they not taken off for break they would have had 33. I thought you assumed they only had 12. My mistake.

 

Fair enough, I was making the point what if they had 21 kids injured (that probably would be a separate issue but for arguments sake) would you still play? We agree no.

One could argue that the leader of our Army has an issue with keeping commitments, so who is setting what example, but that is for another thread.

In the end. FT Knox has to do what's in their best interest. I get that. Obviously they are going through some tough times. Maybe they should have dropped out of district play this year in 2A. They are moving to 1A next year. When i think about where they were 20 years ago, it's mind boggling. It's just not good for our team. Now we will go 2 weeks before our season biggest game.

Weak weak weak. No way would my kids be going on fall break when there is a game/practice to be had. No excuse is a good one for this to happen.

And no they shouldn't play the game with 12 players but this could have been avoided.
