This was the best game by Sam Dressman all year.

I was told the Moeller game was cancelled because of a field conflict Highlands was because CovCath is playing on Thursday. Again up till last week CovCath had 2 healthy QB's a Freshman and Soph. I am assuming that one or both freshman QB's will be playing on Saturday.

Just got confirmation that the Beechwood- CovCath JV game is on. To be played at CovCath @ 10:00

I first noticed that this game had been taken off the CovCath web schedule over a month ago, and I am not sure if it was ever posted there. Everyone is basing a game on a schedule that came out early this year, when CovCath was playing BW on Friday. Also if the game was cancelled a couple weeks ago, CovCath only had 2 QB's playing, CVH was not cleared to play and there was a lot of talk at the time he may not play at all this year.

Remember CovCath plays on Thursday. CovCath will play Highlands the last JV game of the year

This team has a long way to go before you can use the greatest class. This is a very good team but it is noway a great team.

Litzer could be a good one, but he is a soccer player. He did not get to the game until 5 minutes before kickoff, and because he is a soccer player he only had a chance to to practice hand full of extra points all week.

Left at half time 20-16 CovCath. both defense to me looked soft. both QB's have very nice arms.

Field conflict would explain that on Friday the JV players where saying the game was cancelled

Question I have is, way was the kid still playing basketball. I can not see a kid practicing/playing football then going to play basketball. You need time to heal up after practicing/playing any sport. I can not believe CovCath would permit this.

And the point is

I have been told that the Bishop has not been the hold up. This capital campaign has become much larger than upgrades to Wooten field.

Let hold off on Mr Football talk. Have heard good things about all the income Soph's and freshman, but I have seen a lot kids have great freshman years or be studs in middle school. They get to jv or varsity level and never pan out. I have been around the CovCath program for many years now and heard about the second coming every couple years and not one have panned out as well as first thought. I hope you are right about all these kids, but lets see them play at the next level first.

Kentucky may have to many classes but playoffs are decided on the field, not by some computer or point system.

I may be wrong but I thought Ted ran the 6:00 AM workouts.

Ted is a very good coach and he is retired from Covington PD and will do a great job with younger players. I have not heard otherwise but he could still be coaching at the varsity level. This could also mean Coach Ray is not retiring from coaching and is going to coach a few more years.

No, the school will not permit any organized workouts until they are enrolled in school, which will not be completed until March 15. That is one of the reasons I believe CovCath freshman appear under-strength. They are 3-4 months behind the other schools.

We should know this week, they had there first meeting last night.

I have heard that this could be the largest freshman team in many,many years, well over 50. Someone told me a couple weeks ago that they had over 70 signed up. Sad thing is they can not start working out until they completed enrollment, usually 1st of April. Also new head coach. Ted Edgington . Ted was the first middle school head coach, and set the foundation that is just starting to show at the varsity level.
