People are reading way to much in Ryle and Beechwoods wins over CovCath last year. CovCath had a lot going on the week of Beechwood.Action by the coaching staff had the team in turmoil. Wagner gets hurt on their first series and the wheels fell off. The next week they play Ryle with a receiver playing QB and loose 21-14 Now that being said I have no idea if Ryle and Beechwood should be rank higher that CovCath, but to do so solely on last year is a mistake.

Is Dressman playing, last I heard he was not

Just saw on the CovCath web site that Jake Erpenbeck was named KTCCCA 2AA Athlete of the year. Jake broke both the CovCath 100 & 200m record set in 1976. He won the State 100m and lost the 200m by 0.01sec

Here was last I heard. Dixie. Highlands, Grant, LexCath, Ryle, Cin StX, Sycamore, Desales, Beechwood, Scott Co.

Way to many fouls called , over 40 and most of those where called by one official. Once StH. settled down got physical and had CovCath on there heels a little bit, keeping the score within 6,7 points. The second half CovCath came out and 6 point lead became 20 midway thru the 3 qt

Heard the same thing last night

Only saw the varsity game, but agree with you. If cooper T played like last night that answers a big question mark coming into this year. Also hard to tell about the offense when your starting five are split up for the game

If I remember right it happen to CovCath a few years ago. I was filling in on chains a few years ago against one of JC district teams and their coachs mentioned that it was common for the JC coach to do it

Freshman also are limited to 10 games. So if you plan for a Championship game and don't make you only play 9 games. I know a few back some teams tried to play a 10th game , but many teams shut it down so kids could get to basketball.

Problem is it did happen and divide the team at a point they should have been coming together as at a team.As a result we got the effort against Beechwood.

Same could be said for CovCath.

To say they played badly is a under statement and that includes the coaching staff who also wet there pants. I think the bye week worked against CovCath , to much time to think about the game. To many turnover in the first half and mentally the team/coach fell to pieces. Give Highlands credit they do not make mistakes and make you pay when you do

I said before the game that if CovCath played like they did against Moe they win the game, I still say that.In watching this group of seniors the last 6 years, they have never played this poor of game

Also, I may he wrong, but I thought I heard where you cannot use tax dollars for turf? Both Dixie and Scott turfs were part of a capital improvement that had to be approved by the state dept. of Education

You have issues and should think before to post. And just because you think something is the truth does make it true. You need to do a little research before you say something is true, and don't let your hatred of CovCath or Highlands hide the facts. I should not bring this up but CovCath also got money from the Schott Foundation for the new school and the baseball building. It is amazing want happens when you go out and ask for help or apply for grants.

There is just one problem, I have been told that there is a time limit on the money. CovCath can not wait to spent the money, I heard the project must be under way by next July. which is one year after the money was granted.Also remember that most of the expense in turf fields is in preparing the sub-grade which does not have to be done , $200,000 will cover the cost of a new turf.

It is obvious that you no nothing about the sacrifices parents make to sent there kids to private school.
