Saying you are right in on penalty being apllied on the next play, you still can not say Dixie would have won the game. The penalty would have moved the PAT back, are you saying he was 100% sure going to make it.So we are still playing a if and but's game. I agree the ref's were not very good, because as Dixie parent told me the last personal foul penalty on the last drive was a very bad call. So we can go back and forth, and it is not going to change anything.

CovCath used the blue soccer line as there box which was behind the football box, I believe you can have 3 coaches along the sidelines. I do not know how the rule is stated, but penalty acured during the play. Also if we are playing if and but's Dixie could have been flagged for too many players on the field. You can have a penalty on every play if you wanted to . Watching the game last night and the camera behind Dixie's bench, Dixie coach's were doing the same thing.

I quess you can see the future. There is noway you can say Dixie would have won the game. Maybe CovCath does not attemps a field goal in the 3rd quarter, gets a first down and score a TD. Dixie did not stop CovCath's QB in 2nd half and he avg better than 6 yards.Noone knows for sure how that game ends. As for the call, Dixie had been warned all night about the sidelines. The ref's before the game told both teams that the sideline rule will be enforced, and before the season they went to all schools. I was also told by a person who I trust want he tells me, that a couple a plays before this play the ref did run into a player on the sidelines. Watched the game last night on TV and Dixie not only had players outside the box, had players on the field.The ref threw the flag at Dixie's 35 before the play was complete, so how is that different than holding during a play.

I did see that game will be played at Dixie. is this because of no lights at CovCath

If CovCath does not beat themselves, give up big plays, I think CovCath wins. They have to get to "the birds" early and keep there foot to the pedal. On a side note CovCath's 7th, 8th and Freshman all will have played in the champsionship game this year.With the 8th graders win the big school division of the NKMSFL, and the 7th losing in OT in the small school division. Should be a very good game wish I could be there.

That is a good idea, I hope they do. As for CovCath 7th grade next year, noone has any idea how they will be next year. It just happens that the 7th and 8th grade this year has some very good football players.

Are you going to apply the same rules to NCC , Brossart, and HC. The same middle school rules apply for them. The CovCath team was submit to the league and checked. How about kids that live in Boone Co. but attend a catholic school in Kenton Co. How about kids that go to St. Pius or St Agnes but play for HC. As the Theoldguy said, nobody said a word last year. The MORE I read your posts, I think you just have a problem with catholic school in general.

Campbell Co. had no where near 80 kids. I counted about 40. Now they may have 80 at practice and only dress 40 of the best or 8th graders only, and the others play in Wednesday jv games. And wants stops CCMS from doing the same thing CovCath does, have a 7th and 8th grade teams.

Never was such agreement. The only agreement this year was CovCath would have a 7th grade only team that would play in the small school division. The league was also told that all catholic middle schools were feeder or middle schools for all catholic high schools. And is it CovCath's fault that they have a higher percentage of kids in grades 7 and 8 playing football. I know that half the boys in the 7th grade at St. Agnes played football this year and about third of the 8th grades. Everyone of the kids on both teams will be going to CovCath. As for Boone County, I believe it is only a matter of time that they will have middle school teams also.

Just a follow up Talked to someone who went to the game. Boone Co. just beat the Colonels up and down the field.

CovCath had a already made the playoffs. I also heard, not sure if they did it,but they were going to play alot of kids who did not get playing time during the year.

It was good to see Soph. Gray step up and have a good game. Gray becomes the 4th CovCath player to rush for more than 100 yards in a game. CovCath has become very balanced on the offensive side the ball.

final 56-14 CovCath

CovCath took a 13-7 lead with about 3 minutes lefted in the 2nd quarter. SK then scored 3 TD'S on about 5 plays. CovCath stopped the clock by throwing and also had a interception. Two long runs by the QB #4 and a long pass to end the half. In the second half, the CovCath defense stepped up and foreced a couple of turnovers. CovCath scored the winning TD with 20 Seconds lefted in the game. CovCath missed the 2 point conversion,thankfully because it was getting dark quick, for those of you in the other post. WE NEED LIGHTS

I have seen both HC & NCC play and NCC is better than HC. Both play a lot of kids both ways and NCC win that match up. Another factor is NCC is much better coached than HC.

NCC will win this game but also win the district. I talked to a couple of CovCath players and they said NCC was the hardest hitting them they faced all year. NCC by 2 TD's

I believe CovCath will have enough pull to get the zoning changed. I also think it will happen sooner than later.

So lets get this right. Beechwood plays a JV game against Dixie in the same week they cancel a JV game against CovCath, hmmm

After watching Saturdays game and knowing how little practice time the team got during the week, how can anyone say we do not lights. The only people I have talked to not for lights ,are one's posted here. Everyone at the game yesterday ,parents,alum's , and player's I talked to, are for lights. If you are a supporter of CovCath and kids, it is time for lights

She was a very big supporter of catholic schools. She also gave money for the new school.

Almost everyone I know at CovCath want lights, and I have talked to many Boosters to know it has been talked about. Again this is more than a football on Saturday issue, did the soccer game last night get finished. I lefted before 7:30 and it was very dark. The football team has lost two nights of practice time this week because of soccer or freshman football. May be it is time for the football team to go back to practicing at it's traditional location, the baseball field. Way too many things going on to fit them in the short days of fall. The Middle schoolers has cut a half hour from practice because of darkness.
