That was the year that the football field was under construction. We had to take a bus to a field near the railroad bridge in Ludlow to practices. On Mondays we had to walk the field looking for broken bottles. Yes on Thursday we practiced on the parking lot, or if the JV had a game on Mondays. CovCath will play Purcell Marian tonight at 7:30 for Senior night. There is no JV game

The game has been cancelled. It is my understanding that they are trying to re-schedule for Thursday or Saturday. I was wondering what the odds are that CovCath's game against Madison Central in Richmond will be cancelled on Friday. Richmond got close to a foot of snow with more today.

The SK vs CovCath has been canceled. This was going to be Senior night for the CovCath seniors. To replace this game CovCath will play Ludlow on Wednesday with both JV and Varsity games

Was at the game last night and Wolfe's name came up as very interested in the job. I believed it was posted earlier that he was not, just saying this is what I heard. Also heard that they have received close to 30 apps, many of which are from out of town

I have heard different stories on this, Roberts I heard agreed not to come back, but the other 2 or 3 coaches I have not heard one way or the other. I do know that it was more than letting coaches go, I was told over the weekend that Rowe had been talking to "Football people" outside the program after the Beechwood game on what changes needed to be made. One of the major changes that needed to be made was in the off-season and conditioning program. I was stocked to learn that CovCath was not running once the season started or even before. I was also told that this was a major disagreement between Ray and Wirth, and anyone whoever played for Ray knows you run and run and run some more. I also heard that it was one of the complaints Rowe was getting from parents. Some believed that conditioning or lack of conditioning was playing a major factor in the injury problem the last few years. Wirth took the attitude that this is his program and he will run it his way . I guess feeling that he was going have to make change he did not agree with, he resigned. Also I heard about the Roger Bacon job from a current players parent , before last Tuesday.

There are no secrets in NKY, except the current capital campaign at CovCath which is still in it 2 yr silent phase.

CWB God love ya but you got way to much time are your hands. My son is in that mass of kids and I have no worries or concerns with what the crazies are doing in fact I think Rowe & Co. seat on the boys a little to much.

I did hear from players that the the only current coach to be asked to apply was Drew Nichols. I do not know anything about him, but was told that he was one of the few coaches to have good positive (players) reviews at the end of the year

I would be very surprised if Roedig comes back. I heard he was one of coaches not to bring back.

If the person who told me this said 20, I would put money on it although I would not bet the house. Yes all coaches were let go. The off season program and conditioning was one of the changes Wirth was asked to make

CovCath has contracted with ASAP of Covington to run the winter program starting Feb 2. They have also reveived 20 applications as of Friday
