I know Simon Kenton plays tonight at 6 not sure who they play.

May have been because in the past there have been small schools that would win the championship such as Beechwood. So why separate them by size I guess is what they figured.

The reason is because the regular season for the Frosh "big schools" concludes tonight and tomorrow and by rule their season can not run past the Varsity regular season which concludes this Friday. Thus not permitted to play a championship game next week.

No idea- maybe just the way the calendar worked out. Everyone got 9 games in so not much to complain about IMO. I'm sure it's not the first time.

Freshman also are limited to 10 games.

So if you plan for a Championship game and don't make you only play 9 games.

I know a few back some teams tried to play a 10th game , but many teams shut it down so kids could get to basketball.

Ryle vs whoever..Ryle plays Cov Cath tonight. Ryle hasn't lost yet. If they do win, it will be 3 frosh seasons with combined record of 26-1 or something silly. And before Raiderbird comes back with, "yeah but when they go to varsity they don't do anything..." Ryle renews their rivalry with Highlands next season, we shall see.

I would hope they would have a championship for the top two teams. The kids deserve the pagentry after working so hard all year. I personally don't see a problem if they go longer than the varsity regular season to do it.

That game tonight between Ryle and CCH may be the de facto big school freshman title game. The only other team that may have a better record than CCH is Simon Kenton from what I have seen in the threads on here.

Yes, I believe so....that was in the championship game against this years Junior class (when they were freshman). Beechwood beat everyone that year...including all the big schools on the schedule
