CovCath and Boone County resume an old tradition of opening up their high school football seasons vs. each other this coming week zero Friday night at Boone County.

 

Boone County has a new coach, a new offense, have lost their QB for this game and our young but they are Boone County, which has one of the riches tradition of high school football in NKy.

 

CovCath on the other hand has a new QB in Wagner who looked pretty good in their scrimmage vs Campbell County last Friday night, two stud RB's in Dressman and Bir and a large and rather nasty group of experienced O-linemen, to go along with a solid defense led by Way, Fischer and Wagner the twin brother of the Colonels QB.

 

Should be a entertaining night of HS football on real grass, which looked great last Thursday night!

 

If for no other reason, BGP's members should attend this game to get a chance to meet in person "Guru" who will be attending this game and taking pictures and might even take a picture of the new look TOG for posting this Link in a game thread. :lol2:

I'm not sure CCH can "name the score", but I think we should win handily.

Great to see this match up again. This tells you the season has started. Colonels by 7.

It will be interesting to see what changes the new staff at Boone have put into the game plan. I look for this to be a competitive game, with CovCath winning by two scores.

Take a look at the KHSAA roster that CovCath has posted and you will notice a list of seven names on the Varsity/JV roster. Will they make the trip? Only Coach Wirth knows that at the moment!

Make no mistake Clyde, Boone probably has more raw talent than CCH so even if the Colonels lost it would not rock me if I was a CCH fan.

 

To be clear, I am picking CovCath.
