Yes, Beechwood still doesn't have that problem fixed. That's why it is good to play these games. Figure out your weakness and find a way to fix it. Speed teams, no problem. Beechwood has that covered. No one is going to out speed them. Line up and tell the big boys up front to go downhill, Beechwood is struggling. Dixie did it to them. Now Cov Cath did it to them. There has been improvement. Cov Cath wasn't able to over power the Tigers at the line like Dixie did, but there is still a lot of work to do if the Tigers want to have a chance against Mayfield ... assuming they get that far.

If Beechwood could have scored on the first drive or on the second opportunity I think this would have been a very good game. Beechwood lost the game on turnovers and hmmmmm lets see where the ball is going to for CovCath. Hint: It is the number 1 less than 10. At least have someone near him.

Beechwood had 2 possessions - 3 and out and a fumble. The defense couldn't get a stop on 3rd down. That is what the numbers look like.

Beechwood had a nice opening drive from their 20 to the Colonel 25, then lost yards and punted. Cov Cath fumbled on their first play. Then Fieger fumbled the snap from center on the 2 yard line. A couple punts were exchanged and then the second quarter arrived. As Clyde said above, the Colonels went to the running game and the Tigers couldn't stop them. Another Fieger fumble late in the quarter gave the Colonels a short field and they scored just before half to go up 18-0, missing all the extra points.

 

The Colonels scored on the opening drive of the second half and the Tigers fumbled again on their first possession of the second half leading to a Colonels a field goal. Ball game. The Tigers scored right at the start of the 4th quarter on a 4th and 17 TD pass from Fieger to Carter Burns. Final score 28-7.

CCH beats Scott in Varsity soccer 5 to 4........a very happy, yet disappointed Litzler with one assist but bummed and congratulatory to the Freshman Hornsby on his first two Varsity field goals..........depending on the soccer post season schedule, this is the last conflict on the schedule......
