Watched CovCath vs. Lakota West. CovCath defense played very well. The Ritter kid is going to be a good one, he is fast and has good size. I do not believe the 1st team give up a score with a couple picks. Bir play ok, made some very good throws for TD's and the wide-out made some good catch with defenders on them. Reese played at very well at a wide-out. Bir still made mistakes, locked on to some of his receivers and forced a couple of throws. All in all I think he played well. If the front 4 plays as well as the other 7, CovCath will not need to score 30 points a game to win. When I was leaving they were playing Campbell with a lot of 2nd and 3rd teamers playing. I did ask about the Moeller game and was told CovCath played very well.

LexCath plays CovCath 8th grade at 5:00 at CovCath followed by the 7th grade on Aug 14th.

I have also heard that Bir has looked good. I was also told that you will see both Bir and Reece at QB.

I agree that Highlands is the no.1 team until they are beaten, but the same goes for teams like Holmes. Until they show they can beat the better teams in NKY,they are not a top ten team. Holmes has always had good athletes, but they were never a good team.

Practice started last Wednesday at Dixie. I would assume they will have practice Monday around 6:30

CovCath may have the best class in the last 10 years, that includes 2 teams that went undefeated. But to be that "great team" they have to work as hard as they have, do not think that just by showing up that they are going to win. This team has a core of kids who now has played together for 2 years, went undefeated as 8th grades and have picked up 1 Red Devil and I believe 4 or 5 Boone Co. kids. They will also could have the best Freshman QB in NKY, along with a couple of very good RB's. The O and D lines may not be overly big but they a fast.

I have talked to a few people who have seen the young LB'S. They are all big , strong and much faster than last year. I f they play well, CovCath will have not a good year, but a great year.

Enjoyed listening Monday night,tuned in late, TOG was great However could you tell the score ever so often. I tuned in with CovCath batting in the sixth, but there where 1 or 2 out in Holmes half of the seventh before I heard the score. You do a great job and love listening . Thanks for what you do.

Construction has restarted. The problem was not a shortage of funds, but a disagreement between the General and Sub-contractor.

I believe CovCath middle school will be hosting a pre-season set of games on Aug.14 and LexCath will be one of the teams. Aug. 28 Middle school team will have a league game, so I do not think they could play in Lexington.

First of all congratulations to Coach Krumps, but most of all congratulations to the seniors. This senior class has been overlooked and under estimated for four years. Starting back in August, the football team would not win more than 4 games, the basketball team was worst than last year and the baseball team would end the streak. Will you proved them wrong, you guts are a great class on and off the field. How many class have a teacher come out of retirement, just to be part of your senior year. Thanks for 4 great years

Congrats to Jake,saw he play baseball with the old Wright Contracting that included some other good NKY players. Roenakar from HC Garnick, Stayton, Bruggmann, Erpenbeck,Deglow, Martin, Seimer and Warning(for a year) from CovCath.

I was told by one of the kid, that about half the team was on spring break. They also had a couple of kids not 100%. Connelly won the high jump, but had minor surgery and not 100% One of their top throwers was not feeling well, on Friday was sick in bed with a fever. ALL in all they did better than excepted.

To get back on topic. The best WR in Nky is Connelly from CovCath.

Gray of CovCath, will be just a Jr. Put up good numbers at the end of the year. Looks like Schaffer will see more time at LB.

I believe Coach Wirth and Coach Hobbs will take their time in developing Dressman. He was men among boys last year,however Bir started out practicing with the JV/varsity last year, which was a good idea, but at times looked like a deer in headlights. Let Dressman develop as a Freshman. Bir can QB this team,because they have the backs and line to take the pressure off him. This team will be overall a better team, almost all the starters with have game time last year.

Find a replacement QB. Erpenbeck had about 75% of the total offense last year. Also all the possible replacements play baseball and were not at spring ball.

CovCath got lucky. Their guard play is awful and their FT shooting is even worse. Why Cubby is not starting is beyond me. I have said this before, they play better up tempo. Another question, who were those Ref's,they were just bad.
