NKY Freshman Predictions

Featured Replies

The Summer workouts are upon us and word out of the Bluebird camp is they are very big and athletic. Zach Harris (former CC Red Devil stud) was among those working out for the Birds. He will be a huge addition to the Bluebird backfield already led by the speedy Jalen Hayes. Tyler Schweitzer and Nick True both started as 8th graders and are being called on to lead this big and athletic bunch. They should get tested right out of the shoot with a Trinity scrimmage and opener against St. X.

Campbell Co lost a good one in Harris. I had heard he might end up in Ft. Thomas, but I know the Camels coaching staff felt good about him playing in Alexandria.

If the Birds are as good as advertised, then those hoping that the graduation of the class of 2010 would bring them back to the pack a bit, maybe very disappointed.

If this Freshmen class is another stellar class, that will make 3 in a row for the Bluebirds.

WOW! The Birds have reloaded again and the best is not coming until next yr. There is some scary stuff going on here. Go Birds.

CovCath may have the best class in the last 10 years, that includes 2 teams that went undefeated.

But to be that "great team" they have to work as hard as they have, do not think that just by showing up that they are going to win.

This team has a core of kids who now has played together for 2 years, went undefeated as 8th grades and have picked up 1 Red Devil and I believe 4 or 5 Boone Co. kids.

They will also could have the best Freshman QB in NKY, along with a couple of very good RB's.

The O and D lines may not be overly big but they a fast.

CovCath also got a lot of kids from Spartans and a few kids from Beechwood middle school.

Can you provide a freshman QB ranking?

The loss of Harris will be big to CCHS but they should still have an outstanding team. Big athletic lines, a strong core of receivers, and a strong defense.

Highlands has some big time bigs on their line and some huge Tight ends in Nick True 6'5 and Brandon Hergott 6'2. Schweitzer will be the best Frosh Lineman in NKY this year, he is a monster.

Who is the CC freshman coach?

Who is the CC freshman coach?

I know this doesn't sound good and contradicting my last post but it's still a mystery. Rumor has it that Miller will step up or Siple will pull double duty.

Siple you say? Did I miss something along the line. Which Siple are we talking about?

I have heard the same thing.

I've heard great things about the youngster. If he's better than Conner's Drew Barker he will be outstanding.

That truly is saying a lot all things considered. Great news to here, and from everything I have heard, the Middle school program is making all the difference with these kids.
